Can we play Norwich every game?

Benteke's 1st goal was insane. Lifted the whole team.

Here's hoping this is a repeat of the big win against Sunderland last year, which spurred us on to a great end to the season.

Brilliant result. Here's hoping Benteke is finally back to his best!

PMSL,,this is true, very good impression

Good win today, having said that we have had a couple of good wins this season, but then never got any momentum going, still we are that stage of the season where it doesnt matter now, any win or point will do, i would love to think we can relax a bit now

What a strange season. It's been fairly bad yet we've defeated Arsenal, Man City and now Chelsea. Football and its logic.

Happy days.

That was superb ,

Chelsea didnt look a team on top of the table, they couldnt break us down. Really proud of this win for our season ticket holders.

Back to back wins,,,woohoo look at us go

I thought Villa defended really well. Teams usually defend deep against Chelsea but Villa defended really high. Very brave indeed.

What a result!!, never did I expect we would get anything from that match let alone the win. The midfield were rock sold and Fabian had a great game, really well taken goal.

As for the two sendings off, the Willian one was not a sending off. First tackle was a yellow but second just a foul but the Ramires challenge was a disgrace. Good to see Mourinho as gracious as ever towards the end and interesting comments saying Gabby had his hand around Ramires throat, replay showed he just shoved him.

Can we make it three home wins in a row against Stoke next week

That was the best performance by Villa for sometime. I reckon we are about four points from safety so it would be good to get three of those next week at home to Stoke.

After last season's end-of-year run proved to be a bit of a false dawn here's hoping that with some more winnable games coming up and another transfer window we're onto something a bit more long-term and permanent now!

To lose 4-1 against Stoke at home is criminal.

I have never seen a stadium empty so quickly.

The Chelsea win has just been made completely redundant. Absolute bloody shambles.

Jekyll and Hyde again, absolutely no consistency, we had a great chance to get 3 points and there was no excuse for that performance.

How can we come off the back of two wins and play like complete strangers today.

Dreadful stuff

Full-time was quite surreal literally no Villa fans left in the Stadium and just Stoke fans celebrating with their players!

It was a bit of a nothing match for the players and the fans I guess and we struggled to get truly motivated after last week.

We've beat Man City, Arsenal (away), Chelsea and drew away to Liverpool after tearing them a new bum hole in the first half.

We need to be fully motivated and 'up for it' to win games. Might go down the bookies to back us vs Man Utd.

I can't see us getting anything against Man Utd as we never beat them.I think it will be another 3-0 win for Man Utd on Saturday!

Our defence and forwards were horrible today. Another 4-1 defeat. This isn't good enough. There has to be big changes in the summer or I can see home crowds being below 30k. It's getting there already.

I didnt expect anything from the game tbh, and was happy to take the lead, but we are dreadful at the back, its embarrassing.

Benteke wasn't great today either.

At least Benteke was getting in positions to score. Gabby and Weimann have been poor this season. Abysmal even. Between the pair of them they've managed 6 league goals and don't even look good at providing forward attacking play. Albrighton did more than both of them today.

Only a club like us would consider giving Gabby a new contract. He certainly hasn't deserved it the way he has played this season!

We got what I expected today...nothing. Poor defence, piss poor attack. Gabby and Weimann need dropping as they've offered eff all for a long time now...give Robinson a chance, he can't be any worse than either of those two have been.

Fulham next and it's a biggie. MUST win.

We are a joke of a club. We won't even reach past 40 points this season.

So much for must win.

Losing 2-1 to Fulham in the dying minutes, so what does Lambert do? Bring on Jordan effing Bowery. The man is a clueless fool and I've lost any faith I had in him now.

Survival was the goal for Villa this season and you will most likely achieve that.

Was it?
I'm sure they had a little more ambition than that.

The board have zero ambition. They will no doubt give Lambert a new contract just because he kept us up at the bare minimum. That's if it happens.

Season tickets next season will be interesting to say the least. Fans won't forget 10 home defeats this season and it's not even over yet!

Its just not good enough, Lambert can't continue to lose at Home against relegation rivals and hope to keep his job.

Its happened time and time again, we have a couple of good results and we think we can go on a good run, but then we lose and we go on another run of losses.

Last season we survived because there were 3 clubs who were worse than us, eventually though with Lambert in charge that luck will run out, and we will be one of the clubs that can't get out of the bottom three.
