Can't be anywhere worse than the likes of Luna and Bennett. That's if he is gonna play at LB.

Was Ron Vlaar as good last season as he has been at the world cup? He looks phenomenal for Holland.

He didn't do much wrong last season. The problem at this club is he surrounded by a bunch of clowns. When you are constantly worried about your team mates messing up it makes your job a whole lot harder. At Holland he benefited of being focused on his own role. It also helped his team wasn't under pressure all the time.

What do you guys think of this: http://www.pinknews.co.uk/2014/07/14...otball-mix-up/?
A minority of your fans attacked the actor Kieran Richardson via twitter, being homophobic in the process.. |

If we end up selling Vlaar to Southampton we may as well give up now, If Southampton can take our best player we are going to be in for another long season, its not as if Vlaar is on a high wage so there is no excuse. We have turned into a Championship club hoping to survive in 17th of the Premier league.

I'm surprised how comfortable we looked on holding onto the lead. Just imagine when Okore and Sanchez get into the team...
Dare I say this could be a very decent season? |

Dare I say this could be a very decent season? Good win today, Stoke did the double over us last season, We seem to have strengthened this season. We could do with a break from worrying about relegation

I'm refusing to get carried away as I did that after the Arsenal win on day 1 last year.
But it was an excellent win against a team we always seem to struggle against. Promising signs, promising start.

It was a great start to the season for Villa today but I still believe that we need a few more players in before the transfer window shuts!

Looks like we have a new CEO, Tom Fox who has been Arsenal's chief commercial officer for the past 5 years is poised to take up the role. Also two more signings may be in the pipeline. Hope so!

So no signings for Villa after Cleverley asked for £80,000 a week wages to join us.I guess he would rather sit on the bench at Man Utd earning his money!

Suprised to see Hutton sign a new three year deal but he does deserve it after how he has played so far this season!

i suppose it was to be expected, we are just so poor at home, its been a decent start though, just another 30 points needed for safety.
With Lambert in charge they should slash the price of Season tickets, no value for money imo |

Well it's game over already as we are now losing 2-0 to Everton which is a pity as it isnt the best Everton side of recent years!
