Good perfomance, great point.

Dreadful refereeing.

Quite possibly the worst red decision I've seen for us.

pleased with that performance,,, robbed by the ref and Young

3 at the back looks a good tactic for us

It was a great point anyway in the end as I didn't expect to get anything

Loved Benteke goal and Gabby shouldn't have been sent off!

Let's hope we can get something against Swansea on Boxing Day!

Hopefully Benteke will go on to score more goals like the one against Man Ure

Happy Christmas to all Villa fans

3 reds in 4 games. OK Gabby didn't deserve it but the rest did. Utter piss poor disipline. And no goals again.

The only highlight was Sanchez. The best performance I've seen from a Villa player in a long time.

Been to every home game this season and it was yet another dire and turgid game between 2 very poor teams. Carlos and Jores both looked very good (albeit against a toothless Palace attack) but our total lack of invention is very worrying. There was so little movement going forward and we are so predictable that it is embarrassingly easy for opposition defenders.

I don't think there is any doubt that we are, by some distance, the dullest, most predictable team in the league, although I will of course be back for our 0-0 draw on Sunday v the mighty Blackpool. Lambert's post game assessment was so detached from reality that all my friend and I could do was laugh. No doubt it will the same deluded nonsense for the rest of the season. We will probably end up finishing fourth bottom with about 25 goals scored before having to go through it all again next season!

Lambert is making me depressed, why not give Bent a run in the team see if he can get a few goals, instead of loaning him out and letting him run his contract down.

Then the cheeky git suggests that the supporters need more patience, we have suffered 3 seasons of this crap, what are we supposed to be patient for

I'm starting to hate him with a passion tbh

An interesting stat from tonight's draw is that Bournemouth have scored more league goals in Birmingham this season than Villa have!

Blackpool game was yet another shockingly dull game with lots of possession and almost no creativity, but a win is a win even though playing this way won't get us many more in the Premier League.

So Leicester tomorrow which will be interesting but properly another draw!

I see that we have been linked to Scott Sinclair this week but we are not willing to pay the £3m asking price for him

We should sign Sinclair at any cost...if nothing else, it'd be nice to see a decent pair up front again at Villa Park, even if it's only his missus.

1-0 down to Leicester and Paul bloody Konchesky scored the goal. That's gotta be a sackable offence.

Well losing to Leicester will put Lambert under massive pressure

We need to bring in some new signings as soon as possible!

Mat Kendrick's just tweeted: "Dear Tom Fox, enough is enough. Do the right thing and put us all out of our misery." If the Villa journalists are starting to say it, it's surely a matter of time.

He should have been sacked multiple times. This is another one of those times. Will it happen? Lol nope.

In the 23 years of the Premier League only the Derby team of 2007/8 had scored fewer goals after 21 league games than our 11. They had 10 goals at the same stage even though they were without doubt the worst team in Premier League history.

I don't bet but even I am tempted by the 7-2 relegation odds currently available according to Oddschecker. Can't believe there are still 6 teams with shorter odds.

The atmosphere amongst the fans now seems significantly more toxic than it was even under McLeish. Even a clueless owner such as Lerner surely must realise that things cannot continue as they are.

Its a disgrace Lambert is still in a job,,, had Lerner not over reacted and given him a new contract after 5 or 6 games at the start of the season he might have gone by now, i cant see him being sacked now tbh

It has to be some of the worst tactics i have ever seen a Villa side play, i bet anyone of us could have a game in charge and get something out of the players, Lambert hasnt got a clue, the fact that he was surprised Villa fans were upset when he was booed last week, goes to show he hasnt got a clue.

Please get rid now Lerner or we will be heading for relegation

To be honest, most teams in the bottom half of the premier League play dull football. Villa have scored very few goals this season but so have a lot of other teams.

Tha's the price paid for it being seen as so vital to remain in the Premier League. Dull, safety-first football were it is better to keep possession and reduce the odds of other sides being able to score against you, rather than try and play a penetrating ball through which could result in the ball being lost and the oter team having a chance to score.

Paul Lambert was very successful at Norwich as everyone knows, and generally playing attack-minded football with the aim being to win games. As a City fan, Chris Hughton's team last season saw mind-numbingly dull football most of the time based around keeping the ball and safety-first tactics, That is the way the Premier League is going unfortunately. I think the average number of goals scored in the Premier League over the last few seasons has reduced drastically over previous seasons. There has been a lot of 0-0 results this season too.

QPR have been criticised for letting in a lot of goals this season. Yes, they have let in more than other teams. But really 37 goaqls conceded in 21 games is not that bad. It just sums up how defensive things are generally. Hull are in the bottom three, having let in only 27 goals in 21 games. That is really a pretty good defensive record - which sums things up.

Well Sky Sports News are saying that we are going to announce the signing of Valancia midfielder Carlos Gill tomorrow at 1pm

Something to cheer up us Villa fans!

So Villa have signed Carlos Gill for £3.2m!

I can only see three defeats out of three.

Apart from a 10-15 minute spell in the second half, and a promising half hour from Carles Gil, it was very disappointing against a rather average Liverpool.

Evidently we are now the 3rd lowest scorers at this stage in top flight history! For the first time I now have us as one of the three favourites to go down. Things have to change but with Lerner hiding in his ivory tower and Lambert living in fantasy land then I cannot be confident.

Breaking on Twitter that the club are about to make an official statement regarding the departure of Paul Lambert.

Edit, sorry folks, looks like I was duped by a troll account.

2 wins from the last 18 league games.

I just can't get my head around that.
