OK we scored a goal and I guess few expected us to win so no surprise that we didn't however a loss is a loss and we have only won two games in the last 20.

Things have to change we have 14 games remaining this season and probably require 15 points or so not to be relegated, something and hopefully three points against Hull on Tuesday is a must.

What confuses me about Lambert and his tactics is, for the last couple of seasons we have played a counter attack style every game, and we have had some decent results against some of the top teams, but have been awful against teams around us in the league especially at home.

So what does Lambert do, he decides he is going to start changing the tactics into a more possession based tactic against the top teams , why doesnt he go with what he knows against the top teams and try the possession, more attacking tactic against the teams we should be beating ? , is he that inept that because he is under pressure he decides to stop playing tactics that have worked against the top teams , the guy has lost the plot, but its pointless to keep moaning tbh because i can't see him getting the sack.

I don't mind him changing the tactics and trying something new against the teams we should be beating because the counter attack at home has been ineffectual and horrible to watch, but he should have a think about when and where the new tactics will work imo

Those are a very optimistic set of predictions. You're predicting Villa won't lose any games in their next 8 matches when they haven't even scored a league goal since 20th December. Very unreal. The match against Leicester is an FA Cup match, not a league match.
Fair point about the Leicester game

Of course this is not all the games Villa have left this season ,remember I simply predicted the points tally from Feb and March games

as I said

With April / May games available to give mid table security ?
With a win or draw from half the games played this season and the teams we have to play in Feb and March my target doesn't seem to be beyond reach

We can only wait and see what the future holds for Lambert , Villa and Randy L

He should be a goner by the weekend, but I suspect he has the safest job in the league.

If he stays, I really believe we're going down. Our luck has run out.

If I am right if Villa loose this are they in relegation places. That is if QPR win.

Well Stoke and Newcastle next in the premiership so we could cut away at the bottom by the start of March!

Well this is it. If that doesn't sack Lambert then there's no hope for us.

TBH, I think the damage is already done. He should have been sacked after finishing 38 points but instead was given a new contract after 4 games.

I never thought we'd see a day as dark as that Bolton game under McLeish, but lo and behold here we are.

No more excuses from anybody ruining our club. Lambert has to go and go now.

Well we are in the bottom three now this is serious

And to think, after I had a £1 spare after a few World cup bets I took a silly bet on Villa to win this years EPL @ 1000-1

It looks very silly now

And to top it all, Darren Bent scores his fourth goal in five games for Derby, that is not bad going for a player that Lambert doesn't fancy

Taxi for lambert...............PLEASE

But who do we bring in to replace Lambert if we sack him?

I think that maybe the reason why Lerner hasn't sacked him yet because he was hoping to get to the summer and then have time to find someone to replace him!

Anybody. Anybody would do a better job than this.

McClaren wouldn't touch us with a bargepole after Lerner snubbed him for McLeish. We wouldn't be in this mess had we appointed him that's for certain.

It's gonna be really hard for the players to recover from this. Their confidence must be at rock bottom. Benteke just doesn't look the same.

I still think Bent could have done a job. Yeah, he's not as good as he was but we weren't scoring and he's still better than the likes of Weimann and Gabby who run but do **** all else. And Bent scored again tonight!

Robinson was called back from loan and he wasn't even used! Now he's back on loan again! This was before Lambert failed to bring in a striker in the window!

Look at the treatment Grealish as well. He decided to sign for us and then was tossed aside for a bit. Then he was used and looked good in spells. Had 1 average game and now he's sent back on loan.

The treatment of our players from Lambert is a disgrace. They are better than this and he has dragged them down to his level.

He loves runners. That's why he keeps on Weimann and Gabby.

Bent isn't known for his work rate.
