After Lambert anyone would be an improvement, Sherwood will be a lot more attacking minded.

Prepared to give Sherwood a chance, anyone has to be better than Lambert.

I'm liking what i'm hearing from Sherwood at his press conference, he's got me believing he can save us from relegation, we played better in the second half after his team talk, probably because the players could understand what he was saying, unlike Lambert who just mumbled in a depressing dour manner.

I didn't want Sherwood as our manager but Im willing to give him a chance. He has got two decent games to start with in Stoke and Newcastle which if he gets us playing well we could possibly win!

West Brom at home in the ¼ final of the FA cup it could've been worse.

Today was a reality check.

Sherwood said that the team would play with freedom and without fear yet during the game we had just three shots with only two on target. We had a player sent off and yes we lost at home. Sherwood or Lambert today there was no difference.

Good luck guys. Sherwood will drive you batshit crazy.

Sadly I think everything about us says relegation. Although we got the ball forward quicker we created almost nothing as our crosses from open play, free kicks and corners were invariably awful. Given our games in April I thought we needed 8-10 points from this run of 5 games. 8-10 points from the next 4 is not impossible but is now highly unlikely imo. Hoping that things might change but I am now almost resigned to 4 extra home games next season as I don't see the required fight that teams like Burnley have.

Villa have been risking relegation for a few years now. I really think this year we won;'t survive.

I think it hit me hard last night that we will probably go down, ive always thought we would get out of it, but i can't see us doing it tbh

at least Sherwood told it straight and said we were poor, Lambert would have droned on about how well we played etc.. i'm glad i never have to hear his post match interviews for Villa ever again

I didn't expect Sherwood to do anything to be honest. We had our chance to bring in Pulis and blew it.

These players though... I hope some of them have clauses so we don't have to put up with them in the Championship.

6 years ago, Newcastle were in the exact same situation. We had a squad we thought were too good to go down. It wasn't until the last 10 minutes on that fateful day at Villa Park did I actually think that could happen. But it did.

We kept most of that squad in the championship and coasted our way back to the premier league. I don't recommend relegation to any team but it worked out for Newcastle and maybe the only way to get back up is to go down a step.

But you know... maybe it won't come to that. There's still games and points left to play for. Unlucky for today's game. I thought you were the better team and deserved a point at least.

I scared to death of going down to the championship,, it getting harder and harder for teams relegated to go straight back up, but you look at our fixtures and it looks inevitable we are heading that way, a couple of wins in the last 3 games would have helped, instead we've still only scored 1 goal and thats with two games under Sherwood

I feel for you guys. I am a Wolves fan and believe me we have suffered in recent years.
We are in a lot better shape now though with a young and hungry squad.
In a funny way maybe relegation could be a good thing for you.

I agree. No disrespect to QPR, Leicester or Burnley but I feel they are more likely to go down than Villa.
Villa will get out of it on the last day of the season against Burnley.

Not a good start to his tenure

Maybe we should have gone for a battler like Pullis ,Freedman or Lennon

Even Chelsea and Man City couldn't beat Burnley at home, so why do you think Villa will.

The manager is not to blame for Villa losses. Tim Sherwood has only been there for five minutes, so I do not think it is fair to blame him. The players need to step up and start scoring.
