The players are a disgrace though Tan, the passing today was appalling, a lot of them were either misplaced or intercepted.

The constant boo's dont help either, i can understand them, but it adds to the toxic atmosphere at the club imo.

I do agree though , i'm not sure if Garde is the man to turn this mess around
I agree that the players are rubbish but Garde isn't able to motivate them to be better they should be able to beat a League 2 team who are just one point above Accrington Stanley.

Garde will not just be awful for the rest of the season he will be just as dreadful in the Championship.

I'm torn. The players are undoubtedly shit and don't give enough of a shit, but I just wonder whether another manager would've gotten at least a win or two by now. I don't think Garde is a bad manager, I just think he was the wrong manager at the wrong time. Were we a little more confident and secure I think he'd have been a fantastic appointment, but he's never had to deal with relegation fights before and so I suspect he doesn't really know what to do or how to turn things around.

Do we stick with Garde and hope his new signings can turn us around? Or do we take another gamble and go for somebody like Moyes, who I'd have faith to give us a little bit more of a fight and, worse case scenario, to at least get us out of the Championship?

We're in a really bad place and I fear things are only going to get worse.

But who can and who would want to?

I'm starting to feel sorry for Garde now. The abuse he's getting and the board leaving him out to dry is nothing short of a disgrace. Looks like he's stuck with the squad until the end because who's he going to attract with the position we're in? It really wouldn't surprise me if he walks before the season is over.

Whoever appointed him, i assume it was Tom Fox, (as Lerner isnt interested) obviously sold him some lies as to the real state of the club, Garde himself has said he knew the team was struggling, but he didnt know it was this bad, so even appointing a new manager has come with some deceit it seems, not a great way to run a football club.

The abuse Garde got at the weekend from that fan was a disgrace, none of this is Garde's fault, it would have been nice to have got a win or two, the fact we havent is worrying with him as manager , but if you start your job without being told the real state of the club, then you start with one arm tied behind your back so to speak.

That felt like a cup game, we desperate to hang on, i didnt think the ref would blow his whistle.

I think we deserved the win even if it was a gift of a goal

Fair play to you tonight, you definitely deserved the win. All over the pitch you were better than us.

It could have been different if Zaha put it away after 30 odd seconds, we might have folded

Hopefully it will encourage Lerner to part with some cash.

As an outsider, I cant really understand the amount of aggression and dislike that Lerner gets from fans and journalists alike.

He gave the club massive backing when he first came. It is a business, he isnt Abramovich, he couldnt just go on throwing tens of millions at it. He can't prevent your players wanting to go to a club that is in the top 4 regularly and have deeper pockets for wages. At some stage, he had the right to turn off the tap and tell the managers and coaches to d their job.

I genuinely think he wanted the best for the club

Someone like PAt Murphy coming up with suggestions such as Brian Little (this eve) and Graham Taylor previously, and thinking that would help is plain wrong I think.

I'm prepared to be completely shot down for this view by Villa fans, but I am curious!

Another pointless point, it doesnt help, at least we didnt crumble like i thought we would, i didnt think we were going to score tbh, that could have be seen as a decent draw and not a bad fight back but we needed 3 points

I think first half you was awful but second half you was a lot better and deserved the goal. Should of got more and should of had a penalty to.

Would Vidic actually come to Villa to do a job or is it just a BIG pay day for him ?

I don't mind Villa paying him well as long as he doesn't just come to go through the motions and pick up the ££££

Could you see Vidic wanting to play in the Championship next year, i don't not unless the money is big and he isnt bothered about not playing in the Prem next season, unless its just a contract until the end of the season, if it is he cant be any worse than the center backs we already have

Vidic was a very good player but a big no for me now. He was too slow for the PL a couple of years ago and has not played a competitive game this season. MLS would be ideal for him. Not that we have particularly good players in any position but I think we need a striker, creative midfielder, holding midfielder and keeper (at least) before looking at another centre back. Judging by what Reg Hollis was saying yesterday to the Villa "customers", we won't be getting much in during the window, either in terms of quality or quantity. Hopefully what we have now can get something at Sandwell Shed tomorrow, but I cannot see anything other than relegation by the end of the season.

Awful game from both teams , i think we might have just about deserved a win if we had got it, but we didnt have enough quality to score again

I don't think that any Villa fans believe anymore like the owner as well as the board that we have any chance of staying up!

It's just a case of watching the rest of the season play out and get ready for the Championship which I don't think any of us know what to expect there!
