A very bad Valentines Day for Aston Villa supporters.

It appears that Lescott is now a liar too.

There is simply no way that he could have tweeted a picture whilst his phone was in his pocket.

To p[ost it after such a bad defeat was bad enough, but to lie about it afterwards?

He is taking all the fans for mugs.

I think the last few weeks have summed up everything wrong with us, Ayew's pointless sending off , the 6-0 cowardly performance, and Lescotts tweet, not only does he do it but then lies at the reason why it was tweeted, i dont believe you can send a photo on twitter from the inside of a pocket ,

Hopefully Lescott will be dropped and sold in the summer, along with most of the squad, sadly i think Garde has lost the backing of the squad, since he realised there was no money spent in January i think Garde has lost the will to commit to the club, which is now showing in the players not wanting to put in any effort. Sadly with the idiots in the boardroom i think it will only get worse.

I think that most of the players bought last summer will be sold apart from maybe Richards and Gestede as he is basically a Championship striker so will be useful next season!

I was thinking that both Gary Gardner and Nathan Baker will come back from their loans as they will also have the championship experience that could be handy to Villa

Can you think of any other players that Villa have on loan at Championship or League One clubs this season?

Fair few journalists reporting that Remi Garde is to be sacked within the next few days, if not today.

I'm not sure what to think about this. On the one hand, he's been largely disappointing and hasn't really given us any sort of boost...plenty of suggestions he's barely been making an effort in the training ground so it might be for the best if he's lost all interest. On the other hand, making another change this late in the season with us utterly screwed anyway seems pointless, especially with the same group of players that have failed us in the last 30 games.

Steve Bruce is a name being regularly linked. I wouldn't be against him, but I'd rather we tried for the likes of Moyes and Rodgers (both long shots I concede, especially the latter...but worth a try) before going for Bruce. I'd be surprised if we do approach him though, given how the last ex-Blues boss was received.

Remi Garde doesn't strike me as someone who's full of life on the training ground & can change a game in an instant. He does seem to have lost interest. Almost like he's just waiting until the season is over so he can get out.

Making a change now could give the club a massive boost but what manager is going to step in, knowing what's going to happen come may.

Well that's the problem as in our situation you can rule out Moyes and Rodgers straight away as they wouldn't come to us.Although would Bruce leave Hull who could be coming up to the Premiership to join a team that has just been relegated?

Another name which I've seen linked is Nigel Pearson which would make more sense especially in our situation!

I still think sacking Garde now does seem strange unless they have someone lined up who could perform miracles with our players?

ON Sunday Supplement this morning they were saying if they sack Garde this week, Kevin McDonald would take over till the end of the season.

The players have been a disgrace, unprofessional and undisciplined, Garde when he first came in you could see a slight improvement in the tactics, but i just don't think he has the personality to kick the players up the arse when it was needed, who knows if he had been able to bring his own players in who wanted to play for him and got rid of the bad apples in January then we might be closer than we are.

Unfortunately Garde was deceived by the board when it came to bringing in players, i think from that moment on Garde gave up.

Going forward we need a manager who can handle this group of players, not sure how many will be sold (not sure who will take them tbh) so we may end up with a similar squad with a few additions next season.

Pearson might have the bottle to kick a few of the unprofessional players up the arse and get them disciplined but i'm not sure what he is like on tactics (saying that he did turn around Leicesters fortune last season) , i'm not keen on him he seems a bit of an odd ball, but i cant think of many other managers.

Bruce could be a good appointment in the Championship, whatever happens its going to be a tough season next year i think

It was definitely January that did for Garde. I suspect a transfer promise was broken somewhere, plus the keeper being denied a permit and Doumbia going to Newcastle (which seems to be going well for him so far!) a double blow. His heart clearly hasn't been in it since, and it's hard to blame him for that. He goes with my best wishes...a good man who deserved better than he got.

I absolutely do NOT want Pearson. His arguments with journalists, plus choking that player on the touchline should've seen him sacked long before he did. He might get results and give kicks up the arses, but he's too much of a nasty bastard for me to like or want him.

Why would Steve Bruce leave a club that may well get promoted into the Premier League to go to a club that are going down into the Championship?

Okay, better money.
Villa under Randy Lerner hardly strike me as a club that pay for success so he'd probably get better wages at Hull if they go up.

Big deal.
I bet you or some of your mates have posted on Facebook showing off.
Just because he is a footballer he is not allowed to show off his nice car?

No news yet about Garde being sacked but maybe this rumours are false?

Villa will be the biggest club to ever be relegated from the Premier League IMO.

I think if they'd have been false, the club would've put out a statement denying them. There's something in it, too many journalists keep reporting it.

Moyes has apparently said he's interested and we'd be the only club he'd consider managing outside the Premier League. Go and get him, Hollis!

Woah... under the cover of international week... The poor guy never had a chance!

Redknapp would be up for a new role now his two game stint with Jordan is done.

There was an article in (I think) the Telegraph recently, stating that Garde was completely screwed over with lies about transfers in January, as well as the new board discovering that the whole set up was a complete shambles.

With all this in mind, despite the bad results, I wish him all the best. A genuinely good man who deserved so much better.

LOL,, he sneaked out , good time to leave whilst all the focus is on Internationals, he was never going to stay next season so it doesnt really matter if he goes now or at the end of the season. Erik Black has taken over till the end of the season.

We need someone who knows the Championship next season, and ship out a lot of the unprofessional and undisciplined players. Going to be a huge and difficult season next season for us if we carry on the way we are at board level.

I can see us going down again. Unless we get a new owner.

Isn't he with Derby at the moment, as Director of Football?

So, unless he resigns from that, then I think that he can be ruled out.

Best bet is probably a caretaker until they can begin planning for life in the Championship, as there is no point appointing someone new, who won't be with them once they start the new season in their new division.

Any new manager worth his salt will do well to get rid of him straight away.

Unless my maths are crap and I suspect they are so please correct me if I am wrong.

Villa could be confirmed as relegated with 3 games if none of the teams above win.
