Unless my maths are crap and I suspect they are so please correct me if I am wrong.

Villa could be confirmed as relegated with 3 games if none of the teams above win.
If they lose today & next week, their down.

Next Week. Home to Bouremouth
It depends on Norwich's results too, but yes it could happen next Saturday.

If we lose next week and Norwich win today and get at least a point next week, we'll be down by 5:00 next Saturday...we'd be 16 points behind with 15 to play for.

Another comical "performance" from a bunch of clowns (Hutton and Gaha excepted as at least they tried...thought Lyden's lunge was going to get the yellow which got Hutton sent off for but will check to see what Hutton did on MOTD) that not even Iain Duncan Smith could find fit for work!

I don't think that booing players during the game is a good thing, but I will make an exception for the boos and "Champions League, you're having a laugh!" chants aimed at Bacuna and the boos for calamity Guzan. I hope that our relegation is officially confirmed next week so the spineless lot can do the walk of shame in front of the home crowd. An 11th home defeat next week to beat Lambert's record from a couple of seasons ago would be a fitting way to seal relegation. After 22 wins from the last 92 home league games over 5 seasons (plus the likes of Bradford, Sheffield Utd & Orient), and so much dire football, it is amazing that so many of us still turn up.

I'm amazed it stayed at only 4 tbh,, it just summed up the whole season , started bright but without much quality, go one down and then completely fold through mistakes and giving up trying completely.

Bacuna thinks he can play Champions League football, idiot

The sooner a good majority of the squad leave the better imo,, unprofessional and undisciplined wasters

Well it's still not official as we have to wait until we lose our next game as Norwich lost today!

I just want this over now as its torture!

We could be officially down tomorrow if Sunderland win...if they do, any result in the Sunderland/Norwich game next Saturday would make an escape impossible.

No because the Sunderland game tomorrow won't matter in our relegation as its how many points away from the 4th from bottom team that we are matters so even if Sunderland win tomorrow they will still only be on 30 points which is a point less than Norwich who are on 31 points and we are still not relegated!

Next weekend if we lose then we won't be able to get the points to stay up from our remaining games even if we win all of them!

Does that make sense?

Yoshi is right. If Sunderland win tomorrow then we are officially down. You are right that if Sunderland beat Leicester then they will have 30 points and Norwich have 31. They play each other next Saturday at 12.45. If Norwich win or draw then we can't catch them. If Sunderland win then they would have 33 points and we could not catch them. Therefore, if Sunderland win tomorrow, whatever happens in the Norwich v Sunderland game, one of the teams will have 32 or more points and are therefore not catchable.

Yeah I didn't realise that Sunderland played Norwich next weekend so my mistake!

Although with Sunderland losing now it's officially next weekend that we get relegated!

Well today is the day that we officially get relegated and it will be interesting to see the players reaction when it does happen!

It's one of those games that Villa will sneak a 1-0 win. Then again on recent form it doesn't look likely. The players don't seem that bothered, that's the sad thing about it. Fans pay good money to see their team play.

You need the captain to come out & get a rallying cry going. Why hasn't he done that?

If Sunderland win they go up to 30 points. 14 ahead of Villa with 5 games left so 15 points to grab. Norwich are 15 points ahead of Villa so if Norwich get a point then Villa are relegated.

Well we have gone finally from the premiership and now we have to look forward to a season in the championship!

I just wonder how long it will take the club to sort out the manager situation and also the players that we will need for next season.I just hope it's sorted quickly as it won't be an easy job!

I think Aston Villa needs a dose of Mick McCarthy or Nigel Pearson medicine.
Nasty but necessary.
