Reports gathering pace that the Adomah deal is back on and that Adama might be going to Boro in return.

Makes a change to be looking forward to deadline day for once!

Yeah I saw those reports as well as Richards going to West Ham and Villa signing Abdoul Ba from Lens

Don't know if any truth in any of these rumours!

Well, there is truth in at least one of them...Xia's tweeted Adomah in a Villa shirt!

Richards still being linked to West Ham as a loan, but with an option to buy. So it'll just be a loan signing then.

Ive lost track now of who is in and who is out , we needed a change in the squad and we've got it, we just have to wait now and hope they gel together.

Hopefully its exciting times ahead

Sounds like that's our lot...a number of journos saying no late deals expected to come in. Very good window overall...Xia's done his job, now it's up to you Robbie!

One bit of unfortunate news...according to Pat Murphy, Agbonlahor turned down a move to Reading. I hope he never gets anywhere near the squad again...let him rot. His days playing for us must be over.

It seems that Richards has also failed to agree loan terms with West Ham so he is staying put as well as Gabby

So with Adomah joining Villa that is our transfer business done according to reports

Well that has been a great summer of transfers with so many players coming in or leaving the club

Today I wanted more but that just being greedy as Tony Xia has tried his best to get players into the club and also get players like Richards as well as Gabby out of the club.

These didn't work out in the end but I'm sure we will more changes in the January transfer window especially with us losing a lot of players to the African Nations Cup!

So long as Gabby stays I don't need to get a new shirt. All those letters cost me a fortune.

It was great to see a Villa player in a Welsh shirt as its been too long since we had a Welsh player in the Villa team!

Good point actually, last ones I can recall (before Chester) are Collins and Delaney.

Yeah you are right with Collins and Delaney!

Nervous about tomorrow game but can't wait to see how our new signings do against Forest!

My worry is Bendtner, he is one of those players who will score against us tomorrow and then not score for the rest of the season until we play them in the reverse fixture

That's my fear too...we always let the crap/out of form players find their feet against us!

We could have done with the win , we probably deserved it but we just couldnt score enough of the chances we had, i thought we played well at times and when it went to 2-1 i thought we might get a couple more , but being Villa we concede from nothing.

Oh well, still a long way to go but i'm getting worried at the huge points gap opening up at the top tbh

Yeah, already the gap between us and the teams at the top is getting wide. A good run will soon turn that gap around, but when was the last time we had anything resembling a good run?

Brentford match is huge now. Anything less than a win and the toxic atmosphere will be back again.

Yeah I think that gap is starting to concern all Villa fans after today's result

I'm still amazed how we managed to draw that game but it's typical Villa and despite changing the players this mindset from last season is still there!

A win is needed soon for the club and the fans to raise moral that is starting to fall again

So I agree that a win against Brentford is very important despite it being so early in the season!

Also would it made a difference if we had Jedinak and Thsibola in our midfield today instead of Gardner and Westwood?

Yeah , sadly Westwood and Gardner arent good enough , hopefully Westwood is only playing while Jedinak and Thsibola get fit ? (i presume they arent match fit is why they arent playing) , otherwise if Westwood is going to be a first team regular then i fear for our midfield tbh

That's what I was hoping that Jedinak and Thsibola would be our first choice midfield!

I think you could be right as Jedinak had played international game so wasn't fully fit and Thsibola was injured so is just getting back to full fitness

Gardner and Westwood are now just backups until we bring more players in the future

Anyway a win against Brentford is the first thing needed on Wednesday otherwise I would worry then going away to Ispwich on Saturday!

The rest of this month is the telling point for Di Matteo four games to come starting against Brentford. If Villa are still hovering around at the bottom of the table after that he should be let go as it is one win from six games with the players he has is pathetic.

Although I am a West Bromwich supporter I tried to watch the match on Sky Sports on Sunday but the flickering adverts were causing me too much of a problem so I had to keep covering my eyes up with my hands, did not realise how many flickering adds the Villa advertised does anyone know who you can contact at the club about this.

I didn't notice the flickering adds on Sky Sports during the Forest game despite me being epileptic.Flickering doesn't cause fits with me but does give me headaches so I'm sorry to hear that you experienced this as I know what it's like!

Anyway we need a win tomorrow against Brentford otherwise things will start looking bad for us!

The adverts around the pitch as they go round on a rotary system some of them flicker not all though.
