I thought we played really well tonight going forward , we pretty much dominated them so a draw is slightly disappointing.

Thats the best ive seen us play away from home for a while , we pressured them high up when we lost the ball and actually won it back or got them to make a mistake quite a few times, the only negatives are our corners , and the transition from when we attack to when we have to defend , we still look a bit sloppy , if we don't win the ball high up and we get caught it looks like a few still go to sleep in their defensive duties.

Overall though i am pleased with how we played tonight , we looked better when Gabby went off and Ayew was up front imo.

Brighton are Second in the league, away from home and we dominated the game pretty much.

Well said.

I'm well happy with the point, but the performance itself was very positive too.

I still wish we could concede fewer fouls though!

A good performance and an excellent point against a team who ripped Norwich apart only 2 weeks ago. I honestly thought we'd lose this one, so to walk away disappointed not to have won is further proof of the effect Steve Bruce has had.

Yeah especially as we could have won that game as well but Bruce is doing the right thing at the moment!

So what has happened to Tishibola?

Next up for Villa is Cardiff which will be interesting as it's two new managers playing well but we should still beat them!

Big game today against Cardiff that could help us move up the table but also just as easily be the game where Bruce run ends!

It's when the players need to prove themselves and if they really want promotion!

An excellent win to keep Sir Steve's unbeaten run going...only three points from the playoffs now.

It feels good to be a Villa fan again!

It does feel good now thanks to Steve Bruce!

A great win again and now only 3 points off the play off places so could we make the play off places by Christmas?

I'm warming to Bruce now, I might start calling him Steve soon.

Good win , i saw us go 1-0 up on Soccer Saturday , then my heart sank a few minutes later when i saw 1-1 , but we are looking good under Bruce so i'm starting to relax a bit more

I haven't felt so positive about being a Villa fan since the O'Neill days. Things are actually on the up. I can't believe it but promotion might still be on for this season!

This is a tough one to call , you never know what type of Leeds you will get , they can be a decent side but if you catch them on a bad day we could get a result

Oh well the Unbeaten run is over , tbh i didnt think we were outplayed , i thought it was a close game, we just didnt create anything clear cut , and Leeds finished theirs well.

Lets see how we bounce back now

Yeah it's a pity that the unbeaten run has gone but it's how we bounce back against Wigan next Saturday that matters now!

It is a worry the lack of goals in Villa team though!

Phew !!

I thought it was going to end 0-0 today , not a great game by all accounts the guy watching the game rarely appeared on Soccer Saturday and when he did he said not a lot was happening, so i was dreading a 0-0 , but late goal, 3 points and its a win after our first defeat under Bruce so its not too bad, at least we bounced back.

No doubt we will be towards the end on the Channel 5 highlights program , ive noticed even when we are playing well we always seem to be towards the end , same as MOTD we were always on last , its a conspiracy

I had that same feeling when it was 0-0 that it wouldn't be our day but Grealish came up with the goal we needed!

It's good seeing Villa in the top half of the table but we need to continue this on Tuesday to get closer to those championship play off places!

How good to be scoring late goals rather than just conceding them!

Rubbish game and the squad is really lacking some much-needed quality players, but the 3 points is a relief.

I think we need the following in January:

1) Experienced decent goalkeeper.
2) New striker(s) who are tried and tested in the league.
3) Someone to lead the midfield (of a Barry/Petrov/Milner/Delphine mould).

Then we can seriously be promotion contenders.

Damn it , we weren't too bad until that point , looks like we are struggling in defence again

I think we need a Center back and a right back in January

I was hoping McCormack would be the answer , but he has been disappointing so far

That was a truly abject second half , we looked like we did under RDM

I think we should have had a penalty late on though

I hope we arent starting to fizzle out again , i know we got the win on Saturday but by all accounts it was pretty poor.

I hope Bruce gets some money to spend in January , he needs to bring in his own players and we need to shift a few on

I'm not looking forward to tomorrow game especially as we are on Sky Sports which we don't have much luck when Villa are shown live on TV

So I'm going 1-1 draw for the QPR game

I've given up on promotion as that is looking less and less likely with us looking more like a mid table Championship team each game!
