We haven't won on Sky since December 2014, when we beat Leicester.

I'd love it if we smashed QPR, purely because of Ian Holloway. Loathe the man.

Yeah I think the majority of Villa fans hate Holloway after his comments about Villa over the summer!

I still will be shocked if it's not a draw as we have drawn on Sky before but we won't win as we never do!

I've hated him since he called us a half-arsed club when we tried to sign (I think) Charlie Adam when he was Blackpool manager. Massive tosser who only has any sort of reputation because the media jerk off his oh so funny comments.

This referee is appalling and so was that penalty. They're there for the taking though.

I don't worry about Holloway's comments that much. He's a funny chap and his comments aren't to be taken too seriously. I think he's a 'character' and whenever I've met him he's been friendly and interesting to talk to.

As for today; hopefully we can get a goal soon, but I'm annoyed about the missed penalty. What if that ends up costing us two valuable points?

Oh FFS ,, thats three penalties now we should have had and we've only had one

Kodija has been our best player so far i'm surprised how badly he took that pen.

Good win in the end and a deserved win imo. We could have got disheartened with the penalty miss, but we got better in the second half.

we will really miss Kodija in January and Feb ,

Yeah Kodija will be massive loss next month but we don't know what business Steve Bruce will do in the transfer window as we have been linked to Rhodes

Although I think other areas need to strengthened more than our strikers like our midfield which is lacking creativity

It was a great win against QPR and hopefully we can follow it up against Burton on Boxing Day now!

First Boxing Day win for 11 years apparently.

Another mediocre performance with another 3 points. Still too many people would rather take the safe option when we have the ball, leading to ponderous and predictable build ups and few clear cut chances. At least Grealish runs at defenders. Yes, he often goes missing for parts of the game but we need his creativity in home games.

It is bizarre that Bruce is averaging 2 points per game v Di Matteo's 1 as I don't see much improvement in our general play. Hopefully Bruce will continue to be a lucky manager and that we get the 3 or 4 players, especially in midfield, that I think we will need to make the play offs. Leeds are physical and athletic so we will need a much better performance on Thursday. Hopefully our lot have been saving a good performance for then. UTV

I don't care how Villa are picking up points just as long as we are under Bruce!

It's amazing what he has done with RDM squad and what he will do with the transfer window!

So it's Leeds tomorrow on Sky and that is a massive test for us as they are in form at the moment

We need to raise our game for Leeds , we've been lacking in recent games, the only good thing is we've picked up points, and after the start we had and the last few years getting points is the most important thing.

I'm excited about January to see what players Bruce brings in, i think we need a better right back and more strength in depth in central defence, and the midfield needs strengthening , We cant keep relying on Westwood.

I think everyone knows that Villa midfield is a problem area even Steve Bruce!

I would be surprised if we get a draw tonight as Leeds are a much better team than us!

A point tonight would be a brilliant result tbh. I hope Steve is given decent money to spend next month and that he uses it wisely.

As I posted earlier a point is great result against a team like Leeds and hopefully now we can bring some players in soon in January!

Although if rumours are to be believed then Gestede will be the first out of Villa before any new players arrive!

Not a disaster although it shows that we have a lot of improvement to find if we are to be serious promotion contenders. It is good that Bruce recognises this. As much as I would like to see us go up this season, I don't think that one more season in the Championship would be a disaster as it would give Bruce plenty of time to address the obvious weaknesses. Fair play to the linesman who spotted the handball when the ref didn't. I couldn't tell for sure as I was about 60 yards away but tv showed it was a clear pen. Hoping now that we can have a decent window and not drop away during the African Cup of Nations. Oh yes, and sign your contract RHM so we don't see much of Gabby! UTV

Apparently we had a good shout for a penalty turned down , but that was poor, we havent played well for a few games now and when we don't pick up points it becomes concerning.

They mentioned Villa on Soccer Saturday and they said there was no money for Bruce to spend in January ?? , so it looks like we might only have the money we get from Gestede, i just hope Soccer Saturday are wrong and Bruce has got money to spend

From Dr Tony's twitter
Just updated: 1 loan done & 1 loan and 2-3 buys undergoing.
As for today's match, sadly our shocking away form means the play offs are disappearing into the distance. 7 goals in 13 (the worst in the league) shows we have a mountain to climb with players who, for the most part, are neither good enough nor with sufficient fight IMO. Bruce has a big job after Di Matteo wasted so much money. Hopefully he can get us challenging next season or we could be in line for a long stay in the Championship.

It was a terrible result today especially as I live in Cardiff so I will hear about it constantly in work tomorrow!

What's this about Grealish and Warnock?

That stuff about Bruce having no money to spend seems rubbish as Tony Xia tweeted this morning that 1 loan deal is done and 1 loan as well as 2 to 3 signings ongoing!
