What an amazing performance from all the players. My heart sank when Blackburn scored the second goal, but we looked strong as ever when we scored the goal back (mind you we was lucky from the ref like Blackburn were lucky with the pens in the first lag, so it's about even). I couldn't believe how well Heskey played
, Milner was class as always and Young was back on form. ![]() I'll say our weakest player had to be our goalkeeper Guzan, but I think we should all give him the benefit of the doubt seeing as his the main reason why we're still in the cup. Man Utd or Man City? Who cares. Bring it on.

Well done to Villa and MON in particular, as well as Emile.
Best of luck for the final. |

I'm a Blackburn Rovers fan and just wanted to congratulate Villa on getting to the final. It was a strange game, despite losing, it was entertaining and one of the most enjoyable matches I've seen for a while.
But the fans running on the pitch was quite a nice sight at the end. I'm obviously a bit gutted, but we did well in this cup. I wish Villa all the best for the final. |

Fantastic game and a good chance now of winning the first decent piece of silverware for 14 years.

Seconding what Hetal said, your team did you proud both last night and in the first leg too. Best of luck for the rest of the season.![]() We're in talks to sign Rangers striker Kris Boyd. MON is answering our prayers and trying to sign a goalscorer...just hope (if he does join us), he can do the business in the Prem. |

Guzan really needs more confidence at catching the ball and the ability to read players better. Sidwell is a waste of space. I hope MON gets rid of him.
Still, we got through to the 5th round! Hurrah! |

Great win, fifth round for the second year running (been a while since we did that!
) and good performance from our younger players. I'm hoping for Villa vs Birmingham in round five!

Wolves or Crystal Palace away.
Not bad at all.

Pretty nice draw. We should win this. I feel bad for Cardiff though. Who would want Chelsea away.

A point against Arsenal was probably a fair result. One I'm happy with too, considering we were ravaged just four weeks ago.

Oh well its Utd that we have got in the final. Pity as I really wanted us to be playing Man City for the whole Barry Dunne thing!
Im also very happy with a point against Arsenal as I was expecting them to beat us! |

I must say I'm not pleased with this result. We played better than Arsenal and Downing let us down tonight big time. 4 league games, no goals. Worrying if you think about it. We need a striker who can score 20 goals + a season.
Anyway, on another note, we've got Man Utd in the final then. I guess they'll be after our blood after beating them in OT, but our players should be confident to take them on again. Hopefully it'll be a repeat of 1994.

I've given up any hope of MON signing a goalscorer (or anybody for that matter) in January, so it'll be summer at the earliest before we get one.

Excellent win today. Fulham away is always a tough match, so to get three points is a result I'm delighted with.
It was great to see Gabby get two goals, and Richard Dunne might just be signing of the season...don't think he's ever had an average game for us.Given that Spurs slipped up at Blues, the stage is set for a fabulous game at White Hart Lane next week!

Dunne has got to be the best signing this season.
I can't really fault him. Good to see that Gabby scored two goals as well. Let's hope his improvement continues. Shame Liverpool won and it's not surprising to see Everton catching up again.

Looks like we'll be getting Crystal Palace in the next round. Wolves are getting slaughtered.

Not surprised. I suspected Palace would beat Wolves.
It'll be a good match.

What a frustrating match that was. This is how I saw the game:
Defend Long Ball to Gabby Gabby loses the ball Defend Long ball to Carew Carew loses the ball Defend And repeat... Don't get me wrong, our defenders were very good and stopped Spurs pretty much at the majority of the game, but it looked like we wasn't playing to win. It was more of a case of stopping Spurs to win. That's another goal less game. 4 out of 5 now isn't it? |

Same story with us. Brilliant at defending, rubbish at scoring.
I'm thrilled we got a point, but it's one I think we barely deserve and I wouldn't have had any objections if Tottenham had taken all three. On a positive, Richard Dunne is fast becoming my favourite player. The guy is an absolute rock.

One of these days MoN will take off his defensive glasses and actually put out a team that is wanting to win the game from the off and not just stop the Villa team from losing the game
