Carling Cup song by X Factor reject
Warning: It's absolutely ****ing awful. I'm glad she wants to celebrate us getting to a cup final, but...jesus. I can only echo one of the comments...even though it's unofficial, it makes us look pathetic. Fans of other clubs will hear this and laugh at us, and to be honest, I don't blame them. |

We should have done more in the second half and taken advantage of Man Utd being 1 man down, but it's still going to be hard to beat them regardless. All in all, I prefer this game/result over the rubbish we had to endure last weekend.
Highlights: Cuellar's cracking header, Nani getting sent off, Friedel making a few good saves. |

I had no idea about this until someone mentioned it at work today. What a total embarassment.
I think you need to disown it as quickly as possible. Complete embarrassment

Brad Friedel once against shines in Goal, cracking goal from Cuellar, Nani sent off I think he misses the Carling Cup Final against us now.

I'm happy with a point. Our performance was generally bad though...we seemed to want to avoid defeat rather than fight for a victory.
Four points off Manchester United this season is a great achievement, especially given our record in recent years against them. I just hope that in three weeks, I can say "four points and a Cup win."

Giggs out until April, Nani suspended for Carling Cup Final, seems like last night was a little soften up for Wembley

Wow, Crystal Palace are really going for it. They've played better than us this first half. I wished we sold Heskey and Carew in January for a good finisher because we'll be dominating by now. Our defenders are too bloody awesome, not only have we got the best defence record thanks to them, but they can score very well too.
My mate keeps banging on about how Young should be a striker but after seeing them tumbling down like an idiot on the penalty box, he'll shut up about it in future. Milner really needs to be consistant as well. When he wakes up, his gold. When his asleep? Not so much. |

Great goal for Palace!
I feared this game would be a tough one and I knew we were screwed the minute Heskey started as a lone striker.

Oh FFS, they nearly scored again.
I don't have confidence in someone like Carew scoring as well.

Delfonso's on. It's somewhat worrying that I have more faith in an inexperienced teenager to score than I do in two experienced internationals in Carew and Heskey.

YESSSSS!
![]() ![]() ![]() 2-2. Great game, although we were quite lucky. Crystal Palace did very well, but I always expected a hard match. Hopefully we can win at Villa Park, but I expect Palace will fight hard again. |

Petrov is a legend.
We really need to bring in a new striker next season if we want to progress because I think we've reached our limits now.Oh nice, it could be possible we'll be facing Reading/West Brom if we win. And look...it could possibly be Chelsea vs Man City. Very nice. I hope we face West Brom.

I think Chelsea and Man City are our biggest threats if we want to win the FA Cup, so to see at least one of those go out before the semis would give us a bigger chance.
Still on course for a Villa/Blues showdown at Wembley...could it really happen?

Hey guys, Palace fan here. Cracking cup tie today. Really enjoyed the atmosphere and banter. Thought we were just gonna hold on after the Ambrose stunner but full credit to your lot for not giving up. Was just wondering what you think O'Neil will do for the replay. Will he still put out a full-strength team or will he rest players with the Carling Cup Final only a few days later?

Yeah it was a good match, although it wasn't pleasant for us. Crystal Place had more vision and focus where as we seemed to struggle with both. I've always liked Crystal Palace because of their strong supportive fans and history.
Guzan should start for the replay. No idea why Friedel was playing today. MON should also give Delfouneso a starting chance. |

We should go behind at home more often. Whenever we do (Chelsea, Blackburn in the semi, now Burnley) we mostly do well!
![]() 5-1...Gabby's just scored!

5-2 final score.
Poor first half, and a pointless late goal conceded, but it's still a great win! It's fired us back into the race for fourth place, and a big win will surely boost morale at the start of our biggest week in 10 years!![]() Downing MOTM. Absolutely brilliant performance.

When Burnley scored.Carew really needs to go out the Summer. I respect the guy, but if we wanna progress next season... Seriously though, what happened to the Burnley defence when we kept scoring?

Villa fan here, the score flattered us and made it sounds like shots in and Burnley possibly deserved more from the game,a difficult game for Villa a week before a cup final
Up to 4th for now ,and then down to 6th , Spurs could send us down to 7th,keep the faith its tight in the race for the top 4 |

I love how United fans are trying to hide behind the 'League is more important' line, depending on how we are against Palace, we're back on form, and went completely mental against Burnley, Sunday will be hard to call.
I think our game against Blackburn put the oomf back in the CC, and our game against Palace always made the FA Cup a tad more exciting. |

United fans have always been *****. Hiding behind the league? Which is why they've rested a few first team players for Sunday?
