I'm excited, but very nervous. Part of me believes we can win, part of me thinks we'll get battered. Just not sure what will happen.
Do us proud lads, whatever the result. UTV. |

Proud of our effort today. We gave it everything and it just wasn't to be.
Today has highlighted yet again our need for a top striker. When we needed a goal, we brought on Emile Heskey. And I wish the commentator would learn to say NicolaS Anelka's name properly.

DrogbA's name is also consistently mispronounced as well.

I'm not happy with this effort. We didn't look likely to get back into the game after they scored, so what does MON do? Bring in Heskey, a striker who hasn't got the quality to even deserve a Premier League spot.
You could argue we played well in the first half, but we did the same against Chelsea 2 weeks ago. Only difference is, we actually scored. So what happens when Chelsea score the second? Throw in the towel and allow them to score the third just to add injury yet again. We need big changes in the summer. MON has to make Lerner believe that he can take the club forward if his willing to pay up loads of money and the first action he has to take is get rid of Heskey. His completely shit. Even the neutrals knew Chelsea had it in the bag once he came on. No Plan B is always our downfall. |

More complainers, we were the better team, good luck and fair play to Chelsea, last ten minutes we had enough mentally, but we were not tired after an hour, which we proved now we've got two gruelling cup runs out the way, focus on fourth if we beat Everton at Villa Park we're in good shape.
But I'm sorry, Howard Webb is an absolute disgrace. |

I was hoping Villa won at the very least because it would have been something different.
Villa tried, battled, gave everything, and had alot of middle third possession-but the upshot was that they never threatened to score at all. There was a mental barrier -Chelsea expected to win and they did. Villa could have played for 8 hours today and not have scored. |

A win tonight would fire us above Liverpool into the top six, with a game in hand. Really need three points here, but Everton are never easy.

We're 1-0 down in our ground against a team that could finish above us. Shit performance, that's all I can say. Let's see what happens in the 2nd half before I write us off finishing top 6.

Not going to happen for us tonight.
Second consecutive end-of-season collapse, and our hopes of qualifying for Europe are being damaged. Starting to run out of patience now. |

What a load of bollocks. We got back into the game and just conceded again within 2 minutes. Disgraceful.

We're not the only team to draw against Everton, forget Champions League and just focus on Europa, we're not read for the CL at all yet.

Thank **** for that. Seriously, I was so close to punching my wall. It's no doubt Everton are a better side than us after that game.
I can see us struggling against Portsmouth and Hull because it's either the squad being tired or not enough decent talent to carry us through. I still don't have faith in us finishing top 6, but we'll see. We really need a revamp this summer with a healthy rotation. |

I don't think Portsmouth care, Avram has not put out his best team, tonight - and Hull to be fair, the gap between us and them is pretty large.
I'm confident with those two games, but we are so not ready for CL just yet, we need a bigger squad. Didn't you want us to finish 4th not so long ago? We've been in poor form for ages. |

And yet, Wigan still couldn't score against them. I can see us having trouble beating a subpar Portsmouth because we're really on poor form at the moment. Like bottom half quality. And Hull has alot to play for....

Haha, I put a cheeky bet that Wigan will win 3-2 against Arsenal. Quids in.
Now make my day better Villa.
