MON will be our manager next season.
I'm glad the issue has been sorted out quickly...now we can focus on the summer transfer window.Randy has said funds are available, but we won't be signing a £30 million player. Fine by me...I don't believe there are many players who are worth that much, and those that are would never join Villa anyway. Over to you Martin.

Aston Villa win the Hong Kong Soccer 7s for the 5th time - with goals from Nathan Delfounso and Marc Albrighton to seal it.
Our reserves and young lads are one of the most talented bunch I've seen in years. |

Man City have made a £20 million bid for James Milner.
Apart from £20 million being a joke offer, they can **** right off. They chose Gareth Barry...they can settle for him!

I expect Villa to reject that bid but City will properly come back with a bigger bid as money means nothing to them!

Our new kit was launched earlier and I have to say I'm not at all impressed with the slogan underneath the FxPro logo. It looks really tacky.

The slogan is really stupid as well... Trade like a pro? Are they trying to attract kids? I want Acorns back on the kit.

So our star midfielder is set to leave because Manchester City have turned his head by offering him loads of money.
Sound familiar? I know Milner's departure has been widely expected, as was Barry's before him, but I'm getting sick and tired of this. How are we supposed to progress if Man City click their fingers and our best players go running? When he goes, MON better sign somebody pretty ****ing special, 'cause I won't tolerate another Harewood/Knight-type signing. On a positive, Ash Young wants to stay. Nice to see some players are grateful and show some loyalty. |

Milner compared to the players they've got over the summer? - He'll be lucky if he gets game time
Great business if you ask me, Man City should cough up its not like they can't afford it or anything. |

He's twice the player now than when he joined us, so we're right to hold out for about £24 million. |

Alot of the media are mis-understanding our sell to buy policy
Randy Lerner has said, he will not spend 20 million on just one player and can do alot more to the club with that amount (expanding the North Stand being a fine example), he considers it a waste of money - thats where the sell to buy comes in, and the money that we get from Man City will now get us a 20 million pound player or a couple of quality young players. |

My first post on this great thread! I think £25 million would be a great deal, if we can get it. Chuck in Stephen Ireland (for £7-8 million) and I would be happy with that.
I do think we will struggle to stay in the top 6 this season but I still hope that Randy and MON will surprise me and adopt a slightly more adventurous transfer policy. UTV SOTC |

Plus we were a top 8 club before Milner even came along, people said we would miss Barry lol.
We'll be just fine without him when we start spending eventually, MON has a reputation of keeping schtum during the transfer window. |

I'm not really fussed tbh. I mean Liverpool's losing against Kaiserslautern...Man City lost against Sporting Lisbon yesterday. Just shows how bad the reserves are.

Big John in a good mood today, he's equalised thanks to Albrighton, I sniff a starting place for him.

Ahh two shoddy goals I hear, but Bohemians are a good team, just because its the Irish League doesnt make any difference.
