MoN Do me a favour and Kiss off .
Why do you want him to go?

His put us 6th in the league for the third consecutive year now
Last season he managed to get us to the Carling Cup final, FA Cup semi-final while defeating Chelsea, Liverpool and Man Utd, two which happened to be at their ground
His won us the Peace Cup which don't forget had hard teams involved such as Real Madrid, Porto and Juventus
His really shaped our squad and made some excellent purchases
He has that chraisma and passion which many managers lack
MON and Lerner get on really well which is important for the future of our club

Now before he came on board we were a midtable club. Do we really wanna go back there? It's only a friendly. If it makes you feel any better, we defeated Peterborough earlier this week.

I'd rather O'Neill stay - the man is essential to the club at the moment.

Judging by Dunney, I think we're going to have a crack at the Europa League this year.

O'Neill has made progression each year even if it is slight.

An inch forward is better than a foot back.

It will be difficult this year for Villa to move up a place to finish fifth and very difficult to get into the top four.

A piece of silverware at the end of the year would be nice.

Walsall game just kicked off, Collins is injured, came straight off, and on comes Cuellar.

Salifou's still with us?

Liverpool have bid £2.5 million for Luke Young, according to the Guardian. I hope he doesn't go, but after the shabby way MON seems to have treated him, I think he'll leave and I can't blame him. Wish him all the best if he does go.

Think he'll be a good signing for Cardiff. Good luck to him.

Rapid Vienna in the Europa League draw. Again.

Payback time, I think.

So...Martin's gone. Who do we want as replacement?

Realistically, I want someone like Jol or Bilic. Please not Curbishley though.

Somebody with a bit of knowledge of the transfer market and who is good tactically.

Both of which couldn't be said about O'Neill.

Managers I'd like to see:

Martin Jol
Jurgen Klinsmann
Manuel Pellegrini

Wishful thinking though. Testing times for Randy Lerner.

Am I the only one appreciating the irony of an advert for season tickets solely featuring Young and Milner on the same page of the official website as the O'Neill statement

Any truth in the rumours that Friedel is on his way to Fulham?? I ask because as an Arsenal fan it improves our chances of getting Schwarzer.

I think Martin Jol would be an excellent replacement for him.

But Jol is tied to at least another season with Ajax.

Sven is always available for the right price!

Here's a good read:

http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news...cle548869.html

The rumours about Young and Friedel were made up. It seems Randy was shocked to hear MON leave all of a sudden, so I doubt his intention was to push him out. Which brings us back to the original question. Why did MON leave then? It's sad to see we're kept in the dark about this.

You'll find out how good he was this season - the most consistant team outside the big four.

Stephen Ireland will be confirmed as a Villa player tomorrow or Friday. 70% it will be tomorrow. Just waiting on City tying up paying him money.

Ireland had a medical at Bodymoor Heath this evening and has agreed personal terms.

Seeing as we're consistantly rubbish in March, his point still stands.

I'll be glad to see Ireland here...hopefully he'll find the form he had a couple of seasons ago.

Milner has been named in the squad for West Ham.

*blows trumpet*

The Holte is going to slaughter him.
