Had to pop out for an hour. Just got back and it's stil 1-1. I'd take that result.
So how has team B been in the second half? The Rapid fans are a disgrace doing that to Guzan.

Considering the best Villa will finish this season is 7th why are they playing a weaker team?
Is 7th place the sum total of the club's ambition this season? I think the fans are being mugged off big time, total disgrace. |

The tie is in our advantage, we got the away goal in our favour even with the weaker team calculated gamble that paid off well, you a Bluenose in disguise?
Take a hike WUM. I won't hold my breath that UEFA will do anything about the Guzan incident  http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/foot...la/8931954.stm |

Take a hike WUM. Are you happy with the fact that Aston Villa seem to attach more importance to finishing 7th in the Prem than picking up any silverware? Look at Fulham last season. Fancy a European final away with the Villa? You'll be lucky if this line up is anything to go on......and why? By the way, don't be so paranoid, I'm a Rotherham supporter, unfortunately someone has to be

Instead of assuming I'm a Blue's fan, why don't you take off your claret tinted specs and look at what I'm saying?

Well done to Newcastle. I'm not at all happy about that result, but I'm not going to complain about it...they fully deserved it.

Villa were abject but I've a feeling this will be a strange Premier League season
Wigan and West Ham have emerged as relegation candidates and the internal club implosion award is delicately balanced between Villa and Blackpool But still, 6-0 shipped including a hatrick to a man whose completely unproven in the Premier League, Don Fabio...Carroll? |

My holiday trip was ruined when I heard this result. All my mates and I were gutted. I mean seriously 6-0 against a promoted side....It makes the 7-1 Cheslea last year look good.

![]() and Smith)It's not like you were thrashed by a bunch of newcomers with no experience who are in the league for a nice few trips to some big grounds |

To be fair, it was a side with the exception of Perch that it's starting XI had all played Premier League before and a handful are international stars and some of 'em have played in the Champions :League (Harper, Ameobi who scored at the Nou Camp agaisnt Barcelona
and Smith)It's not like you were thrashed by a bunch of newcomers with no experience who are in the league for a nice few trips to some big grounds This is the worst Villa result I've seen in my lifetime. If we're gonna get thrashed, I would expect it to be the likes of Man Utd or Chelsea, not flipping Newcastle. No disrepect to them btw, they fully deserved to win today. I just watched glimpses (very painful) of the match and not one player put in the effort today. Either refund the fans or donate the wages to Acorns because not one player deserved a penny on that pitch. There should be a policy in the Premier League where if a team loses at least 5-0, the players don't get paid. Would make them work ****ing harder as they should when it's a huge sum like that. I'm not gonna blame Kev Mac due to being stuck in a position where his got no experience. But I will blame him for still being unsure wherever he wants the job or not. Just flat out say no. Surely this match would make you realise you're not cut out for it. Do what you do best and let the big guys do all the hard work. Lastly, has Randy Lerner actually got any managers lined up yet? Wasn't there something about getting it sorted before the Newcastle game? I also want to know what his done with the 16m and why we haven't even bought anyone from the transfer window yet? If he appoints Bob Bradley, we truly are ****ed. |

The same team who got relegated two years ago....
Apparently they have Tiote coming in subject to a work permit and are close to finally agreeing a deal with Ben Arfa too... I could see them pushing on for a top-half finish TBH. |

I keep hearing this, but frankly the statement is true but hardly the full story. Newcastle got relegated because of the turmoil at the club and the lack of stability, good management and (crucially) team spirit, not due to a lack of ability. All of those things are present this year and they will be a totally different proposition as a result. The likes of Enrique (Their best player btw? How underrated is this guy?), Gutierrez, Barton, Coloccini, Williamson, Guthrie, Steven Taylor, Nolan and Carroll are all decent-to-good premier league quality players, IMO. Even Routledge is a threat because of his pace.

I could see them pushing on for a top-half finish TBH. , how much has Martin o'neill levaing the club effected the club. I did not see much fight from you guys today, from a club with soo much promise over the last 2 years.

It's good to see NRC coming to the rescue after the Collins error. Ireland is having a great game too.
I think these 2 players fill the Milner void quite well.Shame that Gabby had to go off the pitch. Shouldn't be too serious I hope. |
