The one thing I'll miss about Milner is his penalties. I knew we would miss again and it's no surprise to Heskey failing to score on the rebound.

That was fooking awful.

Half of that team wouldn't look out of place in League One FFS.

That surely must be the end of the road for Kevin MacDonald's attempt at being manager. He tried but he is not up to the job.

Lerner wants to balance the books but he cannot run a Premiership club like a Sunday league team.

We are leaking goals, bring on Everton.

Are all the MON critics happy now? This is what they wanted.

Awful. Just awful. Emile Heskey might have scored a cracker, but his miss after the penalty was a disgrace. Guzan, Beye and Davies aren't good enough...three players I never want to see in a Villa shirt again.

I don't want Kevin MacDonald as our new manager...the fact we hammered West Ham was not a sign of how good he was, but a sign of how bad West Ham were.

It's over to you now, Randy. Make or break time.

I wasn't exactly MON biggest fan but following his exit even I realised that a manager of quality &experience was needed.

Lerner looked at the cheaper option.

On the bright side, Chris Coleman is available.

How much longer have we gotta wait until a new manager? Until we get beaten by Everton? All hell will brake loose towards Randy if he appoints a subpar manager just as the transfer window closes.

Maybe that is what he is waiting for. A quality manager will want to bring in a few players even if he has just a day or two to do it.

When the window shuts so does Randy's wallet.

You've already got the squad, it could be a season of rebuild and consolidation.

I don't think your anywhere near the top 4, very very few are.

It'll pay off in the long run when these new UEFA Finance rules come in when your running at a profit or breaking even without breaking the bank. A lot more clubs will have to follow this route

Yeah I said last season we were not good enough to even consider challenging the Champions league. We can't even qualify for the Europa league!

Heskey has got to be the worst striker ever. The one time he doesn't attempt to score and he scores! Yet when he has the biggest chance of the year he misses! I can see why managers find him useful now. He knows how to win set pieces by just falling over all the time. That's all his good at doing!

Players I want rid:

Heskey
Davies
Beye
Sidwell
Downing

All not worthy of the Villa shirt imo, espeically Downing. At least we didn't pay 12m for the others.

Now to be fair to Randy, he obviously put alot of faith towards MON with the huge amounts of money etc. and pretty much allowing him to hold the fort, so I can see why his becoming more tighter with the money. I'm holding my judgement on him until we see which manager he appoints.

Rumours are going around that we could be losing Ashley Young. If that happens to be the case and we haven't found any suitable replacements, not good rid of the deadwood and found a respectable manager before the transfer window closes, it'll become clear that the board hasn't got a clue on how to run our club and I would be happy to see them out.

They can be annoyed with MON's timing all their like, but the fact they've laid all this shit to Kev Mac and have not acted fast of getting this problem sorted. Well, is it any wonder MON left when he had to deal with clueless chickens?

In all my supporting Villa life, never have I found myself to be more angry and annoyed than this past week. Two horrible shocking results and the fact the man responsible has to manage yet another match, an HARDER one at that, is unacceptable to say the least.

It's nonsense to say it takes time to find the right manager. There is no right manager. Everyone is a gamble. Looking at the possible canidates, they're not excellent by any means, but they will get the job done to stay us afloat. Any more time allowing Kev Mac to his useless tactics on useless players will make it harder for us to recover. Some are suggesting we should give him until christmas?! Surely the darkest joke ever? Hurry the hell up.

Once the transfer market's closed on Wednesday, I suspect things will move rapidly. I'm pretty sure Lerner's delaying getting a new manager in so he doesn't have to splash the cash. I don't want Kevin MacDonald though. He's a nice guy, and it's not his fault he got lumbered five days before the season, but he shouldn't be in contention now.

I don't think your squad needs too much doing it. Lets be honest about the Premier League, out of the top 5 or so the rest are abject, beatable and of little threat

Delph's apparently out for half the season still recovering from his cruciate ligament injury, but when he's fit again i'm sure he'l be pushing for a place in the first team.

Ireland's injured himself in the warm up, so Reo-Coker's taken his place.

Great start.
