I've made my feelings clear on 606.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/606/A78061539

His comments and actions last night were a disgrace.

- He waved to thousands of Liverpool fans, but didn't bother to do the same towards the Villa fans. You know, the supporters of a team his managing.

- He said he would rather lose 3-0 to Liverpool. Right, we're not far from death zone and his saying he would rather lose to a team. Out of order. Any decent manager wouldn't want to lose to any team despite their past history.

- He had time to sign autographs for Liverpool fans last night, but hasn't had time to sign for Villa fans in the past. An utter disgrace.

- He touched the Liverpool crest. What the hell? This isn't his testimonial.

- His lost the dressing room. Loads of swearing between the players and staff last night. It has become clear due to their lack of performance on the pitch.

- Negative attitude. He said the match was over (pretty much) when we were losing 2-0. Did Man Utd have that attitude against us in the final mins? No way.

- We played against a poor Liverpool side with 3 of their best players missing. They still played us off the park. Injuries isn't excuse anymore. 12 games, with only 2 wins. One was against a championship side at extra time and the other was Blackpool reserves both at our own ground.

- The defenders who played for us last year were pretty much the best defence in the league. Houllier comes on board and has turned into one of the worst.

- His got a bad reputation of transfer history. Would you trust him with YOUR money?

There's certainly no hope with him now. His attitude shows to me and others he would rather be with Liverpool, he ain't winning us games even against the struggling, his lost the dressing rom and it's not an guarantee he'll get us quality players in the Jan window.

If any Villa fan still want him to manage our club after all that, then....just wow.

Manager's message

This stinks of damage limitation. Houllier and/or the board have realised just how pissed off we really are, and have rushed out that to try and please us. I see no apology in that statement and...actually, it seems more like he's trying to justify last night's disaster. He mentions that his comments regarding preferring to lose to Liverpool were meant to be humerous. Maybe they were (though I'm not convinced), but after ignoring Villa fans after basking in the reception of Liverpool fans, and our team delivering yet another abysmal performance, we don't want humour. We want results!

The thing is though how can losing 3-0 be humerous when we're not improving? I don't even think he said anything. Makes it worse to be honest. If he doesn't get at least 3 points in the next two games, I'm sure that's it for him.

Blues fan in peace!

Why they appointed Houllier in the first place fair boggles the mind. Ive yet to fathom out how such a tight unit that O'Neil moulded has become a bunch of simpering pussycats. If O'neil wasnt going to be given funds to take what was a promising position forward , then whos Houllier going to sign to re-invigorate what is looking like a side devoid of its drive.

With the lunacy at NUFC & Houllier you really do have to wonder what goes on in these owners heads.

I don't know any Villa fan who asked for Houllier. The most popular choice was Jol (now available) with Hitzfeld, Rijkaard etc. being wishful hopefuls. When he was announced as our manager, we had to accept it even though he was the cheap option.

Now what gets me is the ridicilous amount of injuries. There wasn't this amount from our previous manager and he worked the main 11 around the clock. What Houllier has done is forced the players into his own style, which seems to be their weakness as proven in the recent results/performance and the amount of injuries.

But what really is unacceptable is the manager's attitdude on our club. He really doesn't care as long he gets at least 1 trip to Anfield a year. Yes, he even banged on about going to Anfield just as soon as he was announced as our manager. Some of the Liverpool fans don't even like him to due his ignorance of "winning the champions league".

His a hybrid of DOL and Ramos. I don't want him in my club anymore. The final straw was the comments and actions he made monday night. No fan should have to put up with a manager like that.

Even if he manages to win the next 6 games in a row, I'll be pleased that we're making progress, but I still wouldn't like him. The problem is, he ain't even winning us games!

Seems Houllier certainly hasn't made himself popular with us Villa fans. I was fairly supportive of the guy until what he did Monday night. No matter how we play, you should always be fully committed to the club you manage at all times, and he seemed to be more interested in his Anfield reception. For the people who travelled up there in the freezing cold (a few of my mates were there and said they've never felt cold like it at a game), it's not on!

We've got Sandwell Town and Wigan coming up, if we get 6 points then MAYBE he'll start to repair some of the damage he's caused to his relationship with Villa fans. Anything else, and it won't be long before there are widespread calls for his head.

Class delivery by Albrighton and nice touch from Downing at the end.

Now let's see if we can hold on...

*sigh of relief* Looks like three points in the bag now.

Say one thing about Houllier, he's managed to get Downing and Heskey-two of our worst players last season-delivering.

Thank christ for that....Another late goal leaked! Nevermind, what's important is we still got 3 points. My man of the match was of course Albrighton. The kid is class.

A frustrating performance where we could not capitalise on a lucky red card and a lucky goal. Our lack of quality was all too evident again with lots of ponderous play which gave Spurs plenty of time to get 2 banks of 4 into place which we struggled to break down. Although the stats show lots of shots on target I think Gomes only had 2 or 3 decent saves to make. What cost us again was comical defending from Warnock and Collins for the first goal and naivety/stupidity for the 2nd.
I don't think throwing in Delph from the start alongside Hogg was the right decision but I agree with the decision to remove Hogg at half time as I think he could easily have got a red in the 2nd half with the ref possibly looking to even up his bad decisions.
I was impressed by Lichaj who, on the whole, was very good imo. Albrighton did ok and Delph did ok for 20 minutes, although I would have started NRC and brought Delph on as a sub. The rest ranged from very average to poor imo.
I suppose you can never be sure what will happen in any one off game but I think it would be a big surprise if we get anything from the next 2 games and that would mean we (with 7 or 8 others) will be in a relegation fight from the New Year. That should not be the case imo and I don't think either GH or many of the players are doing their jobs satisfactorily at the moment. Let's hope that changes sooner rather than later but I see few reasons to be confident at present.
I feel slightly sorry for Randy who after being used to owning one of the worst teams in the NFL is now in danger of owning one of the worst teams in the Premiership! I still say that he should concentrate all his efforts on making 1 team successful rather than flitting between 2 also rans.

I think the whole board has to go. What were they thinking hiring a person who's been out a managerial job for 3 years. I don't think we've kept a clean sheet since his arrival.

3-0

I've never seen such a gutless performence ever under DOL. I want Houllier gone. His the worst manager we've had in a long time.

I haven't felt this disillusioned with Villa since the 3-0 defeat to Doncaster five years ago. I'm seriously worried now...I just can't see where the results are going to come from.

I feel the same as I just can't see us winning a game. It's Chelsea in the next game and despite them playing badly I can see Chelsea easily beating us 3-0

The thing what pisses me off is the board won't admit they made a mistake and sack him before it's too late. His league record is shambles. Players have fallen out with him and haven't performed. He hasn't kept one clean sheet since he came here. You can see there's no ambition from him or that useless Gary on the pitch. Loads of injuries happened over night due to forcing players to use his own crappy football method. He obviously doesn't give a toss about us as well and would prefer going back to Liverpool if he could.

Why is he still with us. I cannot believe our chairman is prepared to allow this useless man use his own money. If I was Randy, I'd get rid of the CEO and manager because their just as bad as each other, open the wallet abit more and bring in a quality manager who gives a damn.

Probably in a minority, but I'd rather have Allardyce than Houllier.

Jol and Hughton are available. Would rather take one of them.

Well that's then. I wouldn't find myself being thankful of losing 4-0.

The whole team is a disgrace. We're going down.

Apparently, Lerner was at the game and the Villa fans started singing "**** off Houllier" after the fourth goal. I hope he heard it.

I feel the worse has yet to come.

If Houllier is given the chance to make signings, which by the way he has a bad record for and it's not even a gurantee he'll sign quality players, then it's gonna leave a complete inbalance to our squad for many years. Randy would be insane to do it after watching that dross performance.

Be careful what you wish for

To be fair, from the few games I have seen of Villa, Houllier doesn't seem to be blessed with options at the minute, lots of injuries and having to play kids or players returning from injury.

I'll swap you Roy for Gerard then how's that?

Houllier's Premiership record as manager of Villa.

Played - 14
Won - 3
Drawn - 4
Lost - 7

13 points from a possible 42.

Chelsea away next.
