I'm really sad to see that sponsor go...Now who's gonna advise me to trade like a pro?

I have no idea how we're gonna get 3 points today. With Houllier's tactics, our liability players and Blackburn being our latest bogey team in the league, I can't see anything good come out of this again.

Robbed out of a pen and now Delph at LB.

What is this rubbish?

When you're playing a centre midfielder as a left back, despite a left back being fit and available but not even on the bench despite a defensive injury crisis, things have gone badly wrong somewhere. Whatever Warnock has done wrong, Houllier must really hate him for it.

As for the referee, I'd like him to explain how that was not a penalty. Idiot.

I just don't understand why he didn't bring in a LB at the window. He had the chance to do it. Warnock is a tosser but should at least be on the bench just incase something like this does happen.

We certainly look the better team, but it's not always the better team who wins matches like this.

The inevitable Blackburn goal has come. Kalinic AGAIN! He's always bloody scoring against us!

And Young makes it 4-1!

And here's how to end a good game - Heskey missing another typical miss.

That was better than expected. Houllier's first big league win. It's just annoying how we still can't keep a clean sheet even if it was a lucky deflection.

This should boost our confidence alot but we're not out of the woods yet. Not until we get 3 more wins but this is a strong positive result.

I don't know, read the thread expecting delighted fans after a good 4-1 win and still complaints, I mean to conceed a deflected goal whilst winning 4-1, what is there to complain about guys. Things looking ok, no worries about relegation surely now, the team seem to be working for the manager now, something that some didnt think was evident early on in his tenure.

Onwards and upwards

The complaint is that yesterday's Blackburn goal still left us with only one clean sheet in four months in all competitions, which was last month against Man City. Not a great record really.

Apart from that, we are absolutely delighted with the result. It was an excellent performance against a Blackburn team we've struggled with in the league in the last couple of seasons (despite our great cup form against them) and it's pulled us away from the relegation zone. Still too early to say we're completely out of trouble yet, but we've got some fairly kind fixtures coming up, so fingers crossed.

We lost over 37 million last season!

Whoever says MON is a good manager hasn't got a clue. His negotiation skills are sickening. A good team motivator, nothing more.

That really is shocking. I can understand now why Lerner wanted to put a stop on MON's spending...maybe it was for the best that he left. £80m on wages...I shudder to think how much some of the mediocre crap he signed were/are being paid! I wouldn't go as far as to say MON is a bad manager, but his transfer dealings were mostly dreadful.

Reading are our potential FA Cup quarter final opponents. I'm really praying we can beat Man City tomorrow.

It should be a good game. Hopefully we won't repeat the same gutless 4-0 defeat now we're looking stronger.

Team: Friedel; Herd, Dunne, Clark, Delph; Bannan, Petrov, Bradley, Agbonlahor, Delfouneso, Heskey
Subs: Marshall, Pires, Reo-Coker, Walker, A Young, Downing, Albrighton

Can't say I'm confident with that starting lineup. Go and prove me wrong, lads.

That's shockingly scary considering we'll be playing on ITV as well.

My fingers are crossed that Heskey will play a blinder.

Maybe I should have super glued them.

Can't say I'm surprised. This selection had disaster written all over it. Awful negativity bollocks.

I'm not surprised either, but after Houllier saying how the 4-0 Eastlands defeat was the "worst moment of his career", I'd hoped he might pick a team to show some fight. How wrong I was.

We had a fair chance tonight. Houllier has seemingly blown it for us with an inexperienced team. Idiot.

Half time and we are lucky just to be 2-0 down.

Houllier threw in the towel on this game and the FA Cup when he named his team.
