I still don't consider us fine until it's mathematically impossible for us to be relegated. You never know...
Bent was well worth the money. I think without him we would have went down for sure and that would have costed more money in the long run. We really need to rebuild in the summer. Most of MON players are truly being exposed as average at best. Sell them all to QPR if they get promoted.

I think that's Houllier's managerial position over for us. Shame, he was starting to pull it around.
It doesn't fill me with hope that we'll be able to finish top 10 this season with G Mac as our manager for the remaining games. |

Just imagine what might happen if you have a few good results between now and the end of the season
![]() Best wishes to Houllier by the way. Yes, I also think this is it for Gerard. It is sad it has to end like this. I cannot see him coming back from this. He hasn't been looking well for a while, and God knows he could do without the aggravation and pressure. |

What a dull match that was. I really hate playing against Stoke.

General Krulak's just posted this on a messageboard:
"First off, I have passed on your good wishes to GH. As you might know, he has suffered a problem that he has suffered before...at Liverpool. It is serious...something that we need to be concerned about. Randy flew over to see him and everyone at the Club has been extending best wishes. I am afraid that he will not be on the sidelines for the remainder of our games....the key is his health and that he recover completely." Despite what's been said, it seems it IS a recurrance of the problem he had at Liverpool. I'll be very surprised if he doesn't retire at the end of the season. |

I hope they'll install a new manager straight away once this season is over. I don't wanna see them go through that stupid one month interview process again. Moyes would be the best suited manager for us because we really need to trim down the wage bill and have healthier transfer windows. We could still offer him a better budget than Everton as well.

I doubt it'll take a month this time. I'd put money on our new manager being either Jol or Moyes, both of whom I'd welcome. Either way, whoever it is, I hope they get enough pre-season time and some transfer funds.

I think Arsenal will give at least one team a major thrashing before the end of the season and I'm afraid it could be us, especially when we have a chuckle brother managing us who isn't even good enough for the Championship.
The HT talk will be something like reminding Dunne his actually on a football pitch and telling Collins that the aim of the game is to hit the ball away from the box. This will come from Gary Mac's parrot due to being technically superior than his human friend. |

Gary Mac is useless. Our defence is useless. I can't wait for this disaster of a season to end.
Well done to West Brom. |

It makes me worried that we lose to West Brom when they have only got 10 men.Now I'm looking at the table and worried about relegation especially with our last two games which we will lose!

You can tell the difference of quality between managers where Hodgson can still win with 10 men and G Mac brings on ****ing Pires for no reason.

Recent interviews suggest G Mac will be here next season. I hope that isn't the case.

If GH resigns/retires I don't think GM will stay on. Most new managers prefer to bring in their own assistant.

It's still uncertain if Gerard Houllier will be with us or not. It seems the board are willing to wait to see if he'll be alright in 2 weeks after the season is over. I don't see the point. He won't be miraculously cured in that time so I have no clue what they're playing at. They need to be looking for a new manager right now.

Gary Mac is utterly useless.
Need West Brom and Tottenham to win now to be safe. With Liverpool and Arsenal coming up, doubt we'll get another point this season. |

So it's looking likely we'll end this league with 42 points. That's really not good enough when you take a look at our wage bill and the amount of money we've spent on this squad. I expect major changes to happen over the summer and more stability next season.

The rumours are that Benitez may be coming to your aid, Gary Mac would be better than Rafa if that's the case.
![]() Gary McAllister couldn't even cut it in lower level and lost to a part time club when he was at Leeds. At least Rafa Benitez won big trophies in his time. I wouldn't be thrilled if he was our manager, but he would actually be a step up from our current management team. |
