Exactly.
How many times has he got Birmingham relegated from the Premier League? And people say Avram Grant's bad.

Never thought I'd say this, but suddenly McClaren doesn't look like such a bad option. I have a horrible feeling we may end up regretting that one.
Hoping the board still have an ace up their sleeve, but I can't say I'm hopeful of that. |

Has Randy Lerner been to the 'Mike Ashleys Guide To Entertaining the Fans And Running A Football Club' seminars?
I hear Joe Kinnear wants a route back into football... |

I hear Joe Kinnear wants a route back into football... People seem to think we're doomed, but it's just the media trying to sell rubbish stories because there's hardly anything happening in football at the moment. |

The media are losing the plot from our silence.
![]() Here's a good one: Neil_Moxley_DM Neil Moxley What a shambles at Villa. A total and utter disgrace. Lerner and Faulkner should hang their heads in shame. |

I hope these rumours about McLeish are false as he would be a terrible choice.I did read rumours earlier online about Moyes coming to Villa and McLeish going to Everton. Now I hope that is true!

It would be one of the greatest acts of football treachery ever if he joins Villa. I think loyalty in football is over-egged, but there has to be a point at which it becomes just downright despicable. As much as I hate Birmingham, he would be taking the piss with this one.

If he joines Villa it will firmly be Lerner and Co out.

I'm not going to believe it until I hear it from a more reliable source than TalkShite.

How stupid are the board if this actually happens? This would be the worst appointment I've ever seen. It defines all logic.

TalkSport also broke McLeish resigning before BBC and Sky, and some bookies have stopped taking bets.
What a sad day for this club. |

This has got to be up there with the most ridiculous decision ever made by a clubs board. I could understand it if he had been an amazing manager at Birmingham, he spent loads, took them to the brink of bankruptcy and got them relegated from a poor league.
