I still think it's possible McLeish can take us down. A performance like that is relegation form.

When Houllier acted like he didn't care, he was villified for it. I hope McLeish gets a similar reaction. Moron.Well done to Liverpool, though they should be disappointed it was only 2-0. |

Is that Bent checking in at a airport desk? Is that why it's significant?

I genuinely think we will have new owners this time next year, maybe even the summer.
Lerner who owned 96% and had full legal control has bought the last remaining 4%. Letters were sent out 3 weeks ago. It is baffling as to why he would do this, fuelling speculation he is in the process of selling the club. By buying the last 4% he does not have to inform the 4% shareholders of interest in a takeover, or anyone else until it is done. Whilst I do not want to get your hopes up, there have been rumours that a group in Qatar want to buy a club in England. They were apparently interested in Everton but didn't want to buy a new stadium which they desperately need. We have world class training facilities, history, we own our own ground and next to an airport. It was reported last month QIA approached Venkys offering £4m to each member to sell + giving them back the fee they paid and writing off their debts but they said no. That was reported in the Lanchashire Times, a respected paper in the region. Somethings going on..there was a report last month on a Villa forum that Lerner had approached the group, could be bullshit, but on Saturday someone else posted a message saying we were being sold to QIA. |

I'll be glad to see the back of Randy Lerner. He just doesn't understand the English game at all.

Apart from that stupid error from Clark, we're looking the better side so far.

Just proves what we can do when we actually have a go, rather than play the negative crap.

We really can't.
And now Alan Hutton's got himself sent off...idiot.:sleep:Sloppy defending, but generally we had a go tonight, which is an improvement. |

We don't score enough goals and we keep giving away sloppy goals. That's relegation material. Well done McLeish.

We needed those three points with the fixtures we've got to come. Though I'm going to be (stupidly) optimistic and say we'll get at least one more win this year.

That is a coupon buster of a result, I was expecting a comfortable 2 or 3-0 for Chelsea. Mad day when Blackburn beat Man Utd away and Villa do Chelsea at the Bridge.
