Never felt so sickened on what's going on at this club in my lifetime. I'm gonna go on a rant here.

Alex McLeish won't surpass 42 points making it our worst points total in the Premier League era. I doubt he would even make it past 39 points meaning he'll do worse than he did last season where he got SHA relegated. And he's also on course to break our worst home run in our entire history. Going all the way back when AVFC was founded back in 1874. That is a ****ing remarkable achievement. How shit do you have to be to achieve that?

Honestly, if Randy Lerner goes the extra mile and keeps him on for another season then he deserves to lose a ton of money. The season tickets will fall dramatically meaning he'll lose more money if keeps him on than firing him (which is the cheaper option long term). Not only that but Alex McLeish will relegate us next season. There's no doubt in my mind that he will. We're very lucky this season that there's 5 teams below us who are struggling to get points. It won't happen next season and I'm sure we'll be one of the favourites to go down. Now a clever chairman would realise this and pull the trigger at the underachiveing manager to protect his investment. Not Randy Lerner though. The invisible, clueless, idiotic chairman will allow this to happen and I won't have any sympathy for him when Alex McLeish loses him multi millions when he brings us down. We won't go back up either. Not with Randy's decision making. I'm praying the takeover rumours are true. Only hope we've got left.

That was a jammy goal that was. We don't normally get the winner at stoppage time do we? Makes a change.

Props to Gardner and Weimann.

I'm so happy now after that last minute winner as I was accepting another draw for us!

This takes us 11 points clear of the relegation places.Hopefully another win against Bolton before our tough run of games will keep us out of the relegation this season!

a last minute goal will not stop me disliking mcleish he should be sacked,,,,,,however the win puts us out of danger. I am so worried about next season, Lerner looks like he loves mcleish so we are going to be stuck with appaling football and even worse results

In a couple of seasons we've gone from Champions League contenders to relegation fodder (again).

It's also a bad sign that the two out of the three promoted sides from last season look stronger than us.

I'm not looking forward to next season at all, but I've got rather used to that feeling over the years.

So sad to hear the news about Petrov.I hope he gets well soon!

I just hope we win our game in hand against Bolton on the 24th April as that is very important to pull us away from the bottom three especially with our other upcoming games as I'm not expecting us to get anything against Chelsea tomorrow!

And in the space of a couple months O'Neill has fired Sunderland up the table.

Another defeat today with the gap between us and the relegation places closing we desperately require something from the games against Liverpool and Stoke.

You don't need anything against Liverpool, a win against Stoke would suffice. QPR and Wigan have got some very tough remaining fixtures. Good chance that Wigan will lose their next 3 matches.

to be honest i've never rated him,he's taken you backwards, when MON was manager you were on the up & with a few players could have been a top 5 side.

i do fear for the rest of your season though, alot of tough games coming up,it's times like these when you need a manager to get you out of this mess..

i think you'll stay up with a couple more wins

I'm not positive about getting a couple of wins, I'm not positive about getting one win.

We may survive on a few draws but with a manager so opposed to attacking and players who have an inability to defend we could well find us in the same situation next year.

McLeish managed his last club to two relegations. Relegation is in his blood.

His percentage of wins in the league this season is only 23.3%

VILLA: Given, Hutton, Collins, Baker, Lichaj, Herd, Bannan, Ireland, Warnock, Agbonlahor, Heskey. #AVFC

That's got to be the worst starting XI I've seen in my lifetime. And look at the bench...

Subs: Guzan, Johnson, Carruthers, Gardner, Weimann, Stevens, Williams. #AVFC

I've never heard of some of these players.

I despise McLeish, I really do but there's no way I expect him to get anything today. I fully blame Randy Lerner for this shambles.

I'm happy with a point considering the squad we had. Also 3 teams below us all lost.

All we need is one win and that should be enough I reckon.

Another point to safety. That's how much small time we are now.

If McLeish is here another season I won't be watching us. We've got to be the most boring team in the Premier League.

Lerner needs to shoot him at the end of the season and give everyone a lift.

not really watched any villa games this year but earlier on tv they were saying villa have a lot of good young players coming through. Now i know in general villa fans arent happy with mccleish but whats your opinions on the potential you have? Do you have some good youngsters or is the tv talking rubbish again? Do you think those same players are capable of doing better under a different manager or are wholesale changes needed?

We have a good academy yes. But they're being held back under this negative manager.

What needs to happen is we need to bring in a young manager who has a long term vision for this club. At the moment we're going no where.

As Hetal said, plenty of potential stars but the wrong manager to manage them.

I didn't expect too much today given we had a generally poor record against Stoke even when we weren't shit, and Weimann's goal looked set to prove me wrong. But seeing us concede another equaliser from another set piece was a complete facepalm moment...twice in three days. We've got two points, but it could so easily have been six.

Do we have coaches? If so, what the **** are they getting paid for? I've noticed for half the season that we concede from many corners and set pieces...surely SOMEBODY at Villa can see it, because the fans and pundits certainly can.
