We've just sent Makoun on loan and Gardner is injured for 9 months.

We have no depth. None at all. We have hardly any quality in our starting XI.

Where's the signings? Come on already.

Anyone looking forward to the Championship next season? Should be fun.

Seriously, GTFO Lerner. You're absoutely incomptent. I feel sorry for Lambert having to deal with this rubbish.

Despite all the hope after McLeish was given the boot things haven't got any better.

I will judge Lambert after a few more games but so far so rubbish.

A few days of the transfer window left and we are in desperate need or it is going to be another miserable season, I suspect that it will be.

Why judge Lambert? He's had barely any money to spend. Even McLeish got more than him. Judge our incomptent board, the culprits who are happy enough to see us in a relegation fight three times on a trot.

He is the manager it's like saying why judge McLeish.

Learner is a skinflint who is happy just to see us survive in this league. The board have no idea isn't it up to the manager to force their hand rather than just being happy to keep his job.

All of Lambert's signings did well today. So he can spot a player. McLeish bought N'Zogbia for 9.5m. Biggest waste of money ever. He was ****ing awful as usual. That's not to mention Hutton who was the worst player on the pitch last season (more money wasted) and Given who had a massive howler today. I can't believe he's on 50k wages for another 4 years in his late 30's. Another shambles by the board allowing McLeish to go through with that.

We also can't depend on our academy. Something else out of Lambert's hands. We've tried and they're not good enough. Only a little few of them are semi good to be part of this team. Bannan can be the first out of the door. He's had enough chances and he's nowhere as good as he thinks he is. Followed by Fonz and the rest. They've had their chance and now they can get lost. We're not a charity for them. They're really letting us down. That's the harsh reality.

We should have brought in 8 players this window after having another relegation scare. But it seems Lerner as per usual doesn't give a **** about us and would rather this club stay at the skin of the teeth. Well he's just discovered a nasty surprise today. Serves him right. He probably expected him to be the Moyes equalivent but it's not gonna work when we're depending on our poor academy. They're nowhere as good as Ajax's. How many did Lambert have to start today? 5? If that's not a bare bones squad I don't know what is.

surprised Lambert took the job if he known there was no money. I would have thought he would have asked for sufficient funds as he must have knew the team was not good enough.

Hopefully he his eye on a few to bring in before the deadline because if not it will be a long struggle until January.

I laughed when Terry Venables marked Villa down to finish 17th this season, I'm not laughing now.

Hopefully this result will kick start lerner into investing in some much needed players,,,,,,,if not Lerner can GTFO of our club,,,,,,penny pinching will only end in tears, but that will be our tears and not Lerners. Disgraceful at the moment, and i dont think Lambert can be blamed

McLeish was NOT Villa's problem in 11/12 and Lambert is NOT Villa's solution in 12/13. That is the truth of the matter.

O'Neill did waste a lot of money with signings like Beye and Heskey but overall he did a great job for Villa.

Given is pretty much near the end of his usefulness to be fair.

He was atrocious at the Euros

Did you see his attempt at the second goal today? He's finished.

Hard to disagree with any of that.

A notable line in that article is "we cannot ask Lerner what he intends to do because he never speaks to anybody" and this, while admirable at first, has become a problem. He needs to speak what his ambitions for this club are.

Last season, he was lucky that McLoser managed to take most of the flak. This season, we have a much more popular manager in Lambert who the fans are willing to back and support. If Randy isn't prepared to do the same then the protests will inevitably continue this season, but it won't be the manager they're aimed at.

Aston Villa have already had a bid for Christian Benteke rejected. I had a look at the Racing Genk striker here:

Well we've signed someone. Doubt many will be happy except it prob means the end for Warnock.

Bennett, I have not heard of him but that doesn't mean to say that he won't be any good.

A household name as we have seen doesn't always work out although I would like to see a proven striker bought and maybe a few others but I guess that is unlikely to happen.

If we get Dempsey in before this window closes I'll jizz in my pants.

Edit: Ah looks like the interest is off. Wants to go to Liverpool. It's a shame because with him in our side I'd be positive of us staying up.
