Worst start to a season for 65 years and I don't see it getting any better with the games we have coming up.

Villa at the moment are a poor team headed by a npower Championship manager.

We never make it easy for ourselves, do we? Bring on the quarter finals!

Benteke is looking like a quality signing.

I hope Lambert addresses the midfield in the January window because that's the main aspect that we're suffering from. They provide no support in either defence or attack. I think our defence and strikeforce is pretty fine though.

33% possession against a League One team is pathetic but I guess it's the result that matters.

Awesome victory. Westwood looks another promising PL signing by that performance.

Also, it feels great showing up MON.

A much needed win today O'Neill must be spitting spuds.

Anything from the next three games will be good.

Superb win for us today, much needed and a tad unexpected. So happy we got one over MON, that'll teach him for jumping ship.
tbh i'll be happy with a couple of draws in the next 3 games.

COME ON VILLA

To lose from a two goal lead at home in the second half is poor never mind who they are playing against.

Villa played well in parts and probably well for the whole game but in the end got nothing.

I don't know what it is but we have a terrible mindset against Man Utd. Everytime we fall apart against them. It's always the same.

But it's an improvement from last season for sure.

Watching as a neutral tonight it seemed a massive step forward from last year under McLoser.
Hungry group of young players who looked like they really gave a shit, and who are only going to get better the more they play together.
Stablising is probably the aim for this season but i reckon good times could be round the corner.

Let's hope we put that to the test in our next home game.

The players can all hold their heads high tonight. 100% effort and glimpses of quality too. It is a shame that Man United's extra quality and a lack of defensive concentration cost us a point. If we play like that every week then there will be half a dozen worse teams at least in the final standings.

As for the Man United "fans", full respect to the 5% of them that behaved in the same dignified and respectful way as the fans of every away team over the last 8 months or so. As for the other 95% of Man United "fans" who ignored, heckled and booed their way through the minute's applause for Stan, just 2 words...ignorant scum.

Villa arent the only team to do so. In fact there seems to be a psychology which says United will recover and eventually win games. There is a growing inevitability to it. The art of closing games down appears to have been lost.

I'm feeling proud of the performance but a little disappointed with conceding a late goal.....However if we can continue playing like this for the rest of the season we might be able to stop worrying about relegation.

The officials were a disgrace but I'm sure the media will ignore it because the "champions" won.

Football has turned to shit. There's literally no point in investing anymore time on a game that has been destroyed with money. Hope the Premier League self implodes.

We needed a southampton v QPR draw really to help us.........i never really expected us to get anything from the game but a 5-0 hammering is not going to help the kids. Home game against Arsenal next (lets hope the dodgy Arsenal turn up).

I'm really scratching my head has to how this can be put right.....i'm thinking it might be best to flog Bent (as it looks like he doesn't want to stay), try and get £10 mill plus for him and bring in some experience throughout the team. What a bad time to have 3 really tough games in a row

First time I'm abit skeptical regarding Lambert. He's actually left Bent out despite being fit. Not even on the bench.

Yet look at our bench ffs. None of them will change the game.

It's hard to see anything but yet another defeat.
