Apologies if this has already been discussed...but if the show was already filmed last Autumn, couldnt contestants tell tabloids etc who has won...or would they be legally contracted not to?
If the show has already been filmed; whats stopping contestants from talking?
I had always assumed that it was just aired a week after it had been filmed and that the actual show is only a week ahead of what we see on tv etc. I'm probably wrong...

They have to sign a contract which stops them revealing.
Also the last 2 are given temporary employment in SAS companies until the final. Only the final boardroom is recent (even the final challenge is pre-recorded)

Even then 2 alternate versions are recorded so SAS can decide on the day which is the winner.
This was most obvious with Michelle Dewberry/ Ruth "The Badger" Badger as neither could keep a straight face.
That's why I find it annoying when the winners get too happy , like Simon jumping out of his chair when he was hired. It's kind of stupid and funny that 60 seconds later Kristina probably did the same thing

OMGA! What a farce. What's the point of that?
Are the tasks really only weekly or are 2 or 3 squeezed into one week so that the contestants are realy only there 3 or 4 weeks?

I don't think they are exactly weekely, from what i've gathered shows following this type of format do it every few days, so my guess would be 2 a week, would vary though as i'm sure that get some days off! So all in all i would assume its all recorded in roughly the space of 8 weeks...i mite be wrong though!

If there is a contract then some money must be paid to the apprentices.
I suspect that they get a fee -probably called expenses - for appearing otherwise why not spill the beans to the papers and earn a fat fee????

I read an article in the Daily Telegraph (it's also on the Telegraph website) where Nick says the tasks are done back-to-back which means the contestants are often doing the tasks on very little sleep.

If they did, it wouldn't be the end of the world - the media already know the finalists, however the information is embargoed until the date of airing. There's no reason for the papers to spoil it, it's in their best interests to drag out the coverage to up their profitsd anyway.

How do the 'rewards' fit in then as they are made to look as if the winning team go straight out and to the activity?
