An apology would be kinda nice.

The iphone works well as an internet device and as a ipod as well.

Wonder if apple have cracked the 3g battery drain problems every other 3g phone has ?

hsdpa is a real drain i've used it on several phones and a lot of browsing coupled with phones calls and listening to music and the battery's dont even last a full day.”

To be honest, I doubt it.

I think £35 a month is a bit steep really. Its something you could afford, but its a lot if you're not going to take full advantage of the internet access.

As for wifi access, thats good, but you can get free wifi in a lot of places. I think if you have your broadband with BT you get to take advantage of free wifi in the bt openzone areas anyway.

o2 are a bit stingy on the text messages as well. I get 600 and I only pay £10 a month with some off peak minutes thrown in.

afik there not being manufactured anymore - so the only 'stock' - would be whats left in the existing retail channels. THe current rumora is that foxconn are ramping up prodiuctions on 36 units for a June launch.

Jobs did say he didn't want 3G in the iPhone due to the short battery issue, so I presume if they're now going with it, they must have solved it!
