What happens to the house now the series is over?

Is it going to be used for the BB experiment for the 18yr olds or not?

I take it that items will be auctioned off for charity as in previous years.

I'm guessing that the house'll stay for the BB experiment as I don't really think it's worth building a whole new house for that... I don't know about the planning permission or anything, but I'm guessing that this house will be used for parties and stuff over the next few months then knocked down to make way for the newer house.

Unless they are moving locations - the house won't be knocked down. They will just gut the inside and garden and structure next years layout.
I assume the next few weeks it will be used for parties - O2 last year held theirs in the house and charity raising events.

I've heard several times now the house is moving to a new location for BB5 (problems with neighbours... noise etc), i'd say it's there for the rest of the summer.

They started work on the BB4 house in Feb 2003.

Have any plans been revealed for this BB experiment, how long it will be for, when it will be etc?

I've not heard anything else about it. I think one of the producers mentioned something about it on a web chat but I got the impression it wasn't going to be a huge televised event.

If I remember rightly there is an article on digitalspy somewhere about the possible new site in Surrey?

yes it was up last week. They said the new location could be in Epsom, although I'm not too sure about the truth of this piece. Epsom seems an odd location and the pictures of the so called new site, didn't look big enough to cater for all the space needed for BB - plus there seemed to be houses near by which would defeat the point of moving.

I posted on a uk.local.* newsgroup and received a reply from an ex Epsom Councillor. He said there is no land in Epsom like the pictures posted outside of the greenbelt area, and they couldn't legally build on greenbelt.

i expect they will use it for the expiriance and yes there is a new site for BB5 - they have started building

The house is being used at present for Teen BB.

Sure, they went into the house on the 30th of July, and they come out on Friday (8th) There are/were 8 housemates, it will be shown on TV early 2004

I'm glad of 1 neighbour of the current house - Tesco's! When we were queuing for 7hrs to get into the final show, it was ideal to go and pop across to get hot coffee's. They also did a roaring trade in Portable Seats, Groundsheets and tents! I'm sure they would be sad to see BB go!

BTW, does anyone know if Tesco's hae a deal to supply the shopping to Big Brother? Or is it simply that they are the nearest supermarket. I did hear/read somewhere once that each week, a different researcher is sent to do the shopping, to ensure secrecry or something.

The teen big brother needs to be advertised quite alot before the end of the year if they want people to watch or it will just be forgotten (what a shame).

There will be advertising for the teen BB programme long before its due on our screens, the reason its not being shown till January is because at the moment there is a flood of reality tv shows, although I dont class BB as a reality tv show, its a game show. anyway, fame acadamy, pop idol, the salon is back next month, they thought after the excitement of xmas has died down there is nothing to look forward to so thats why they decided on Jan. plus its far enough away from BB5 so its not one after the other if you know what I mean.
I have read on the channel4 website that after the experiment is over the house will be used by businesses for parties, because of insurance purposes or something, the council will not allow members of the public to hold parties there, just businesses, most of the furniture has been lent to them, like the dining furniture and it will be returned to the owners, the rest will be put in storage, ready for BB5.
