What? Unless you read it in The Sun you can’t believe the evidence of your own eyes and ears as well as testament from FMs who were there? They’ve been playing crowd noise into the house to cover outside noise for weeks. Doesn’t take much lateral thinking to see and hear that that’s exactly what happened on Friday as well.

My own personal theory is the papers see more money to be made playing their part in the fiction, the small town boy done good BS as opposed to the wholesale fakery that went on.

Exactly Straker! I was watching. I heard boos each time Davina said his name and cheers for Ray & Scott. I mentioned this to my partner who was at work. When she announced Sham as the winner I heard boos. When he left it was obvious to me that the sound was mixed and looking at the crowd I saw the vast majority seemed unanimated, uninterested and slightly bemused. I don't need confirmation of any of this from the papers as I saw and heard it myself.

Exactly. If there had been a lot of booing the newspapers surley would have been full of it as they've been slagging the show any chance they can get.

I heard boos for Cameron early in the night but not on his release. I've also read conflicting stories from people who were supposed to be their on Friday on these forums.

I'm not saying I believe I believe everything I'm spoonfed by the Sun, Mirror etc - but considering the bad press some sections of the media have given Big Brother (particularly The Mirror, Mail, Teletext etc.) not to pick up on the crowd's depreceation on final night would a sacking offence.

What better excuse could columnists like Kevin O'Sullivan and Jane Moore have for justifying their venomous rants agaist BB (and indeed Cameron himself)?

And now they’re all throwing money at various HMs for their stories. Be pretty stupid expecting people to buy papers to read about Cameron or Steph and how wonderful they are while at the same time decrying the whole thing as a put up job. I’d be surprised if none of the broadsheets give it a mention in due course but it’s obvious (to me) the tabs have made a business decision that they’ll make more money, sell more papers by maintaing the fiction that God’s little helper is currently the most popular man in Britain.

Yet most of them have printed that voting and viewers were down considerably on last year - isn't that detrimental as well?
