The spoiler thread may give away who gets through, but it's how the others get fired which provides the enjoyment, watching them unravel as they make even the most basic of errors like selling ice-cream to ice-cream makers.

I've not been able to watch the programme as it's being aired for the past two weeks. Hopefully I'll be here next week with the rest of you.

I've just caught it on the iplayer and have to admit the right one went. I thought Lucinda was an excellent PM and Jenny was a right cow. I'm now angry with myself for championing her.

It's just as well that the programme makers classify it as that or we'd be calling it a fix

Yep, me.

I find the whole 'takings' that are taken from day to day and kept under wraps, a total mystery as to why should they be?????

They are both told from the outset how much they need to bring in....so what's the big mystery about (the team themselves....not the audience) being kept in the dark?

You do realise that DS FM make up less than 1% of the total audience, right? I fail to see how the number of pages in this thread have anything to do with the viewing figures.

Probably there are fewer people upset over the outcome of this weeks show discussing it than there were last week. Simple as that I would think.

Don't worry, but I hope you are wrong in the spoiler. I will have forgotten it by next week anyway.

I agree, I often read the first then last chapter of detective novels, then the rest, to see how they get there.

I thought Lucinda did well last night, despite her team losing. If she hadn't been lumbered with that dead-weight Raef she'd have probably won.

What exactly was Raef's contribution last night? I don't remember him doing anything. Not what you'd expect from the "CEO of Alpha Luxury Ice-creams" . I sometimes think I'm watching a different version of the programme because I simply cannot see what others apprently see in him

So far I think Sara & Lucinda are the only ones to have shown any potential. Still haven't seen much of Lee but the bits we have seen have impressed me. Hope he doesn't turn out to be another Simon, ie great team player but not so good as a leader. That said, I'd sooner have Simon working for me than the majority of those that are left.

Now, does anyone know where I can get some of that toffee-apple ice-cream?

Lee and Lucinda did extremely well last night. Jenni and Lindi were nowhere near as good as they believed themselves to be.

I have to say, fair play to Lucinda for not being spiteful and taking Helene into the boardroom. (I bet Helene would have taken her in if it had been the other way around).

Lee and Lucinda are my favourites.

Is anyone else irritated by Jenny's over-enthusiastic-ness ?

Looks like next week the Apprentice will relinquish its claim to being about the only programme on british TV without gratuitous male nudity...

wonder if they would have a woman doing it?

Slightly off topic, but when did Carol Thatcher start dressing like Jimmy Saville as on the Your Fired programme.

I agree I thought Lucindas management style was very good if only she had been a little more forceful, and Lee is coming over as a decent human being too

I heard that as 'beri-beri' ice cream at first!

I'm bafffled how the sales to one pub could exceed that for a number of cinemas too.

Thought Lucinda's team did really well last night and Lucinda showed that she had good team leader skills It's a shame they didn't win

It really got me when Claire's team were celebrating and gloating, being nasty about the other team. Silly woman Made me laugh when they got those two guys to sample their ice cream stright out of the pub - hardly a good sample size is it!

I'm glad Lucinda didn't go out of the three brought back into the boardroom.. though I wouldn't have been sorry to see Jennifer go! Something very cold about her indeed.

I must admit, last night's episode wasn't a patch on last week's.

Wasn't as good as I'd anticipated.

Have to say straight off that I really enjoyed last nights episode for many reasons. Not least of all that Lidl sorry Lindi has been fired.

Claire may well have changed, but again because of editing I am reserving judgment on the validity of this. That said she was one lucky PM, which she knew when she started greetin her eyes out. If it hadn't been for that last deal with the hotel, she was most likely out the door; because the whole task was a mess.

Lucinda I felt was a little too soft in her style, but it seemed to work with the people she spent the most time with. Her 'Deputy' Lindi on the other hand was a walking disaster from the start. In her piece to camera in the taxi home, she mentioned being special; well Lindi you certainly are special, special needs.

They arranged 6 meetings (three with ice cream makers ) and at one of their first meetings they mention 'exclusivity'. How the hell can you have exclusivity when your pitching it to other businesses, irrespective to the nature of those other businesses. It would be like SAS going to Sky and Virgin, telling them they can have exclusive rights to his STB's, but then going off and selling them directly to Comet and Curry's. In the boardroom I was willing Lucinda to keep quite, letting the other two have it out with each other. Lindi as I predicted bumbled through excuses, while Jenny tried to blame other people or call them liars.

I think Jenny got off lightly, she made the initial mistake of the exclusivity; but it was (I think) the fact that Lindi was both in charge and copied the idea from Jenny that got Lindi fired. Seems there are a few people needing to watch their backs now - Lucinda, Helene and Jenny; none of whom I would be displeased to see fired.

Ah think Lindi was a little unlucky yesterday but she it had to be either her or Jennifer for the chop and what swung it for Lindi was she was the 2nd in command and therefore just had the edge over Jennifer, even if it Jennifer did offer the exclusivity.

Claire did well and confirmed my belief that she is a good candidate - more so in a manager role then working under someone in a team. In the first task she was impressive as TL and last night she was good too. But I will be interested to see next week how she works again under someone else. Not convinced about her personality change too yet.

I felt Lucinda was good in the role, she is eccentric and i like her but I wonder why most of the woman all dislike her! She won't go too far in the show though IMO because she has admitted she is no good in sales and no good with technology - not what SAS is looking for I would imagine but then again they must have known that when she applied!

I still really dislike Alex - he is always moaning, always looking for the next person to blame and isnt really a team player IMO.

I agree with both of these: I thought it was "Berry, Berry" -- a play on beri-beri -- but agree that the "Very" version works.

That was the last programme I wouldve expected to hear Television's 'Marquee Moon' on.

I'd have preferred Jennifer to go; she's neither use nor ornament. Lindi was also no use, but was very much ornament!

I have to say, useless as Lindi was, she did seem pretty likeable. And I think the fact that Lucinda obviously felt sorry to bring her in, but didn't show any similar regrets with Jennifer, says a lot.

I think the right person went. Not only did Lindi supervise the cinema exclusivity deal, she directly made the pub exclusivity deal. Any way you cut it, she was responsible for those two deals, and for the silly appointments with the ice-cream makers. Lucinda managed the team as a whole well, but was let down by that sales team.

Claire did fairly well, although obviously she boobed the second part of the task by not making a decent number of appointments for the next day. I think Claire's got a real skill in business. She is irritating and not necessarily a nice person, but she knows her stuff and I'd quite happily employ her in my business as a manager.

Alex is beginning to get on my nerves; he spends approximately three quarters of the time moaning at the team leader and the other quarter of the time moaning about the team leader to the camera. Stop whining and get some bloody work done!

I think I actually prefer Raef to the other guys now - at least he doesn't whine and whinge all the time (although Lee was very supportive of his team leader this week and I did like that)
