Was Lucinda telling the Truth? I believe she was, to some extent. May be Lucinda as a PM discussed Jenny M with Helene and what was said was the conclusion of their conversation. I don't believe that Helene went to Lucinda and just said "Jenny is a snake" as Lucinda implied. Helene and Lucinda are not best friends and Helene is not stupid to just gossip with someone who is practically her enemy.
Did SAS need t know about it? No. Lucinda simply could have divided her team without putting Helene and Jenny M in the same group. Therefore, even if Helene hates Jennifer, it was not the reason she did not mix up her team. So the important question is:
Why did Lucinda mention it in the boardroom?! She tried to push Helene to mention it herself but failed. Then she decided to bring it up in the boardroom for her own benefits and certainly not because SAS needed to know about it!!!
I think that Lucinda is very intelligent and manipulative (This is how she describes herself anyway in the auditions!!). I know this is not a popular opinion but she deliberately mentioned what Helene said about Jenny M in the boardroom. She knew she can't take Helene to the boardroom because Helene didn't do anything wrong during the task. She still wanted to give Sir Alan the impression that Helene was not able to work with Jenny M. I can't believe for a second that she doesn't know how to handle Helene, Jenny M, and Jenny C. She is clever enough to realise that playing the role of the victim is easier than being competent as team player, which, let's face it, is not a role that is appreciated that much in the Apprentice.
In her profile, "she began her career in Risk Management before undertaking various roles involving I.T. in the financial sector." I don't believe that someone with a profile like that is "technically useless". But obviously this is the game she is playing and I admire her for it. After all she is in it to win it.
