I felt that was partly because Helene was project leader, and as such had to keep in mind the big picture and not get too involved with any one specific part of the job. (Which was one of the mistakes Simon made, getting too wrapped up in the photography.)

Admittedly we don't see much of what Helene actually does as project leader, but I think that's down to the editing. Lucinda had been cast as victim, and Helene was this week's ugly sister. Anything which would have made Helene look good was kept out of the edit for fear of confusing the audience about who they are supposed to like.
