David voted her out tuesday afternoon in the DR and then boned her later that night.

She knew she was gone days before anyway and that it would be unanimous. She didn't even try to fight to stay in though, she just accepted it.

Ah thanks ! I hadn't realised that they had voted earlier in the week. Still hilarious.

They only voted the afternoon before but you can tell who is voting who because it is no secret. Ofcourse some people are in the know while others are not but for this eviction it was pretty much done and dusted once the veto wasn't used.

They dont. Well they have 'americas choice' but that is for mickey mouse stuff. I was actually worried this year as were many others that the twist would involve the public nominating or evicting houseguests. What will all the success of American Idol and phone voting over there.

There's no sign of America's Choice yet this year, and maybe there won't be any--no great loss.

Advertisers such as Burger King pay for product placement in the series. Part of this week's food competition was to win Burger King food for the week. The HGs are coached by producers to make sure they win those items so they can be shown on the program in addition to airing the sponsor's commercials.

I think the US series definitely needs a return to audience voting, but I might prefer the audience to nominate and HGs to evict instead of the traditional eviction format. Elements such as the veto could be retained if HGs still voted for evictions.

I have mixed feelings about the HMs voting as against the viewers voting. Both have their downsides I suppose (with trends starting to appear). In BB USA, the first few weeks they seem to nom the ones who will likely make the less fuss. Even now at this stage its not clear to me what should be done. Even Dana and Robert and Jun have their good sides maybe I havent watched enough.

Roundabout the midweeks can be the best of BB USA as they realise they need to get rid of certain people (like Roddy last year) but the crowd this year seem quite likeable. The ones I really disliked Im starting to grow fond of (especially Alison).

I think BB USA is a bit less predictable than BB UK but it just depends on who wins HoH. PoV is starting to look a pointless exercise. Most didnt use it last year (as I recall) and Im thinking it will be the same this year. And also I think the HMs act slighlty out of character on BB USA, pumping up the bitching because they think its expected of them. The first couple of weeks had so much bitching that I wasnt interested, whereas in the UK they were so scared to talk that it took 9 days before anyone even said a very slight negative thing.

And I also meant to say that with a population of 280 million or thereabouts, I suppose advertising revenue will take care of the profit margins. Its on one of the national free to air channels too (CBS) which is like being on ITV over here (I think ?)

Personally I prefer the public voting out the housemate. I like the fact that the hm's have an element which is outwith their control and thus there is always a randon element to the show I think it makes it more interesting.

How is the winner chosen? Does the public vote on this?

People keep talking about the control factor but not everyone can be in control at the same time. You are powerless if your clique does not get HoH. One thing the UK dont have to do is the whole dead man walking act, well unless you are Lisa. It can happen every week in the US house.

You can also sit there and 'know' the other person is evicted only for the announcement to come in on Wednesday and it is 'you' so people have lied to your face.

7 houseguests vote the winner.

The last seven evictees before the final two HGs remain will make up the voting panel. The seven will be sequestered until the series ends in late September.

This week's evictee (out on Wednesday US BB time) will be the last who will not either be in the final two remaining or one of the seven on the voting panel.

Btw they aren't free to leave when voted out either. They will be sequestered in house #2 until the final where cameras will still film them and bits maybe used of them in the highlight shows.

Thanks for the info

The rules are getting madder and madder. They don't keep them in solitary confinement do they? I suppose that would be going too far for our entertainment
