Advice Toshiba 37AV505

I just got a Toshiba 37AV505 for my daughter and a Panasonic TX32LXD70 both are receiving sd signal from a skybox (different houses) the picture on the panasoic is great nice skintones sharp etc but the Toshiba is a big disapointment , washed out colours not as sharp The 37 inch toshiba has had v good reviews esp the 3030 and the new AV505 has better spec so any adice most welcome
Have already made sure input is rgb some improovement but still a long way short of the Panasonic
My daughter tells me that twice when pressing the on switch nothing happened, said it sounded like it was trying to start but coulnt, had to press button off then on again to get set to start

cant really see how the tosh has better specs ?

however you have a smaller screen.

the AV 1 on tosh is RGB only if that helps and have you played about with settings e.g brightness/ colour etc ?

COPY AND PASTE THE LINK TO WORK

on page 5 of this brochure there are 6 colours to adjust which may take some time to get your desired look

usually when it leaves the factory the settings are all over the place as they are making sure everything works

a good starter is getting a star wars dvd and following the THX set up OR feeding the telly a HDMI signal or getting a good scart £10 to 15 and usually says shielded/ oxygen free
