I don't think that element is possible. To do that you would need to standardise your video source, say HDMI or S-Video (SCART won't work, because hifi AV Amps/Receivers don't directly support them) and use the AV A/R to do both the video and audio switching.
HDMI would cut down on a great mass of wiring, too. As it carries both digital audio and video. For 3 sources and one TV you would only need 4 HDMI cables. Using S-Video you would need a minimum of 7 cables - 2 each for the source (video & digital audio) and 1 to the TV. The sound going via the HiFi's own speakers.
To that end, the Sony seems ideal for your purpose. What is on your AV rack at the moment?”
its complicated so here goes:
1x Analogue Cablebox - outputs RCA White and Yellow and UHF aerial
1x Thomson TUTV+ box - outputs RCA Red/white, Digital Coaxial, S-Video, RGB scart 1 Compsoite Scart 2
1x Technomate TMS 1500 CI+ - Outputs RCA Red/white/yellow, Digital Coaxial, RGB scart , RGB Scart 2.
1x Goodmans GHDD177DVDR - outputs RCA Red / White / yellow, S-Video, RGB Scart 1, YbPbR Component out. Optical out.
1x VCR Outputs RGB Scart 1, and Composite Scart 2.
at the moment all fed into a scart auto switchbox, except cablebox as thats fed direct to tv.
there is literally no room on my shelf for anything apart from something that looks like a slim DVD-Player.
