HDMI and no SCART?
looking for help please
I am an architect doing ahouse refurb and client and electrician don't know the answer to this one. Client has plasma TV's HD ready and skybox hd ready. We have asked for HDMI cables from box to wall plate, CT100 and Cat5 - but no SCART - is this OK? - Client wants to control the box using magic eye - which I think happens over the CT100 - but we also have the cat5 Should I be putting in SCART though - distances are up to 15 metres (I am using HDMI cables then into HDMI faceplates) Thanks in advance. A 'magic eye' works over coaxial cable so you need to add that, and unless you're doing a full custom system you should add a SCART lead as well.
A 'full system' would only need CAT5 and coax (for remote feedback), with all the equipment at a central location, and the TV speakers not even used. But the important thing is to add any cables why it's cheap and easy to do so, it costs a great deal more to add an extra one later. |
