A friend claims that during a meal in Central London he saw one of the competitors discussing winning the Apprentice, is this possible? I think its bull but is it recorded?

Of course it is...most of it was recorded ages ago!!! And the winner has already been decided by this point as well, although I believe it is done some months after the rest of the show.

The series up until the last two has been recorded (months ago) and they have been working for Sir A.

The final winner is announced at the end of the series, in 'real time' and (supposedly) neither of the finalists know until that moment (or at lunch just before) who has won.

Not as far as I know it's not....there was a spoiler last year that Simon had won well before the final aired.

So its not actually possible that the person in the restaurant who he overheard talking knew they had won this series

For the final, they film two separate endings - with each candidate being announced the winner (that's why the result seems so flat)

They then both work for Sir A up-until just before the finals transmitted, the actual told, and then the relevant version's transmitted

True. I found out the Season Two winner and runner-up a good few weeks before the finale aired.

You were stating the winner was known before. Simon only found out that week that he had won, so that was impossible.
