Using 1899.com
I recently signed up to this service and have already saved money on a few daytime calls.
Just one question if I want to use BT for calls can I just go ahead and dial the number without 1899 at the front and they'll still be charged by BT? I think I need to make at least one call to get free caller display Many Thanks Paul |

Yeah, dial as normal and the call goes via BT.
Prefix with 1899 and the call goes via 1899. Have a look here for more info on saving money on calls. |

Thanks for the info - certainly a lot cheaper than BT -my frinds missus talks a lot during the day and it has pushed their monthly bill up to around £100 - a lot for a residential phone - they will save a load using these

yes you're right I'll pass that on
Apparently you need to make two chargeable calls a month to get caller display free |

BT option 3 might be a good idea if they use the phone that much. You pay a connection charge on 1899.
