Who said there was a conspiricy - Cameron intentionally decieving people was well known to many - I notice you are still passionatly supporting him Iain - Does this passionate support go to all contestants or just Cameron like it seems to...if it's just our Cam then you are just as bad as the rest of us

was it? glad it wasn't just down to people choosing to fill in their own blanks.i didn't realise part of the whole BB thing involved the HMs revealing every possible detail about themselves to avoid accusations of, um, *deception*?

OK, how to explain this simply ... how much do you know or hear about fish traders in Cheltenham ? How many people in the fish industry do you know personally ?

Now ... compare that to where I currently live - change Tunisia, for the name of what used to be an extrememly large fishing town on the coast .... count up the number of people I and my sisters know in the fishing industry on 2 hands ... nope - we need more hands ......

There IS a "consipracy"

There is NO conspiracy.
YES I do know someone who works in the fish trade

not many, but it could be because the fish industry isn't that big in cheltenham?

i'm only guessing tho'.

Cape Cod's a good place to be too apparently.

What I mean is that although my sisters watched BB, they perceived Cameron to be somebody other than he was ... a fish trader for them is totally different from the multi-lingual, management positioned, well travelled person with experience of living and working abroad that Channel 4 continually portrayed Camoron to be.

People like my sisters (the majority of viewers ?) do not use the internet nor do they expect to have to research their entertainment programmes. They rely on Channel 4 and BBLB to provide them with information about the contestants.

Hereby starteth the conspiracy

Do you think Channel 4 could pay my fares to Cape Cod? I could further my research somewhat on their behalf

Research on what ? Dunno yet - but I'll find something

It is - Cameron intentionally went out of his way to conceal himself - Deception by omission - The fact that the editing supported him in this deception is no excuse....Cameron did not want to reveal anything about himself and presented an image of the simple Orkney boy - Which as we know is an enormous deception.

didn't I explain this bit earlier?

Yes - Your given reason "poor old Cameron desperatly needs to be defended, the poor wee lamb" didn't ring very true - You're just here for the discussion and the anti-Cameron's are a better challenge because their facts are better.

only by default because its cameron who's getting all this guff...

Haven't you read the anti-Jon threads....you're being strangely selective in fighting the corner of just one housemate when they're all get the same treatment. They are all getting "this guff".....Yet you aren't supporting the others....

but this is just part of the whole notion of dumbing down that we see on tv these days surely?

essentially he is still a fish trader tho'.

i'm sure we must have better conspiracies than this?

He's a fish trader in the same way that the guy on the fish stall down the market is an area general manager of a major international fish retailing outlet........

yup - and if that *fish trader* worked his way up that old fish ladder and became a manager at some point - hey! - he might just still see himself as, essentially, a fish trader, yes.

but it looks so scary up there. a big bad world where you can't say fish trader without people spending waaaaay too much time examining just how broad a definition *fish trader* should be allowed to have in a bleedin' game show.....

So - It only holds true if Cameron started on a fish stall then.....Since it is clear he didn't then he isn't a fish trader...So essentially he is not a fish trader....He is a gossiping fish wife maybe....

Blimey, now that you mention it, any fish wife would of been more than pleased with that "Shut up" he yelled out in South Africa

Perhaps he thought it would endager his chances of winning. Especially his homophobic and bigoted views for example.

*hi. I'm cameron, and I'm actually a manager of a fish trading company.....*

European Manager no less...........I doubt he ever comes into contact with a fish. Given his eductaion, his travel experience and his media contacts and family it very unlikely he started on the shop floor.Cameron is no fish trader.....He is a European Manager of a company that exports fish.....Since he only works for the company I'd go as far as to say he works for fish traders and his job includes the management of fish export.....A the outside

*conceal* *deception* yaddy yaddy yaddy - its hardly that big a deal, surely?

We have plenty of facts....nine weeks worth...Still waiting for some decent arguments against them that don't involve the word "Jon" in the sentance.

i must have been drawn in by the whole gay marriage thing - thats when it seemed to get out of control.

And you only had a semantic defense against that - He's still a homophobic bigot

that argument falls down flat. and I'll tell you for why.

are you saying he kept it from us, in a cold calculated manner, that he was in fact a manager of a fish trading company, rather than someone lower down in the organisation, because he thought that would increase his chances of winning?

but didn't think to fib about his view on gay marriages to increase his chances of winning?

which of the two, if you had to choose, do you think would be more likely to damage his chances?

*hi. I'm cameron, and I'm actually a manager of a fish trading company.....*

jon, eh? seemed fairly interesting at first, but when he went back in seemed to come across as a right old muppet.

if by that you mean i clearly illustrated the fundamental difference between what he said, and what the practical implications and consequences of that actually were, then yes.

ah, we have a laugh, don't we?
