I phoned up last Wednesday to port my number over to 3 from Virgin Mobile. They said the port would take place on Friday 25th April which I thought was rather quick I'm used to having to wait a week for ports.
Friday came and my Virgin mobile SIM card disconnected around 5pm and the phone now comes up with SIM registration failed for that SIM. I tried at this point to ring my number which I had hoped would now go through to my 3 phone but when I called I got a message saying
I have checked the number loads of times and it is correct yet I still get that message. I gave it until today to see if it had sorted itself out but it was still the same. I have found though that outgoing calls from my 3 phone appear to come from my ported number but I can make calls to the number or send texts to it from other phones.
I phoned 3 up earlier today who couldn't explain why the number hadn't ported correctly but they would escalate it and it would be fixed within 48hrs. I would trust them but the number of problems I have had with 3 in the week I have been with them I have no confidence in them whatsoever anymore.
Has this happened to anyone else before? and did it get sorted out OK. I'm worried they have lost my number.
