Blackberry Pearl or Viewty?
Pinkster
27-04-2008
I'm going to be eligible for a free upgrade tomorrow and I've literally spent all weekend on the internet trying to decide whether to get a pink Blackberry 8110 Pearl or an LG Viewty in silver.

Email (Gmail) and internet browsing is important to me, as is a certain degree of compatibility with a Mac, so I can sync my calendars over.

I like the Blackberry because it's pink and compact, but I like the Viewty because of the touch screen and the stylus!

Has anybody got experience with either phone and which would you recommend or not recommend?

Thank you in advance for any advice!

My first thought is how can you have narrowed your choice down to two such massively different phones. The user experience between the two has no similarity at all.

I know they are different, which is why I'm asking if anybody has experience with either phone and would they recommend said phone, specifically with regards to internet, email and syncing with a Mac

The Pearl cannot be beaten for email. The BB browser is poor, you'd need to download Opera Mini. Not sure on Mac compatibility.

Viewty has a great screen for web-browsing.

BlackBerry is compatible with Mac through (free) third party software - http://www.pocketmac.net/products/de...erry_8100.html

I suggest you read through and check it supports the functions you want though.
