I dont believe a word of it from ALW, as soon as she is in the sing off she is gone. I think he has seen the back lash of him being rude to her and is trying now to kill her with a kiss

I think he may have got to know her a little better this week and let's face it he'd probably find it hard to be horrible to her face in their training session, but I agree that the minute she's in the bottom two she'll be gone.

I got the feeling he is just going through the motions, he has to be seen to do it........she will be gone if the public dont save her

He's realized, or been told, that laying into her will cause a protest vote (again), so has tactically backed off. If she's in the bottom two, she's a goner, and no mistake.
