Next week I hope she gives him a Glasgow Kiss and causes £2000 worth of improvements.

Rude to a lady! Shocking.

And never would the phrase 'cutting your nose off to spite your face' be so apt.

Somewhere between being 'disingenuous' and 'antagonistic' is savvy, i.e. accept your win with grace and keep fighting. We'd all have respected her for doing that than committing some kind of career hari kari. Especially when the far less popular Keisha just made such a dignified exit.

Although i don't think her response was a calculated '**** you Andrew' anyway. I think she was just chuffed and in her own way, forgot she was being watched by millions. In close-up.

Sorry, but what Ashley done tonight was fantastic. It was heartwarming tbh, the girl thought she was going home tbh, knowing the best man in the west end hates you with a passion, so her not being in the bottom is a hug relief off her shoulder, and she's a hundrted times more real and more passionaate than most of those girls!

The thing is, I don't believe, from the limited evidence available, that ALW is necessarily a vindictive person. He strikes me as quite reasonable. I could be wrong.

Ashley has now transformed herself from playing the role of "victim, exit pursued by a bugbear", to "Boadicea".

Once he has calmed down (dear), ALW will appreciate that.

I reckon Ashley has more commercial appeal after tonight's little affirmation loop than before. And let's not forget, ALW is at #[can't be bothered to look] on the Sunday Times Rich List today...

Now then Scarlet O'Hara, I'm doubting very much you'd have been doing the grace thing, what with all that swearing to God about never being hungry again and all. I prefer the gutsy gallic response myself!

May be the whole thing was stage-managed to bring a little excitement to the show - get us voting.
Oh no, not a conspiracy!

I don't think it's fair to say Ashley isn't talented, or even is the least talented there. Personally I think she'd make a very competent Nancy.

Strictly speaking, if we're going by my moniker, I'd have made him propose to me by now. And John Barrowman.

I loved Ashleys reactions tonight - from her VT backstage after their criticisms to her yes yes yes.

She showed shes got gumption (and thats something Nancy definately needs) and i'd rather see that than her weeping and wailing and buckling under the pressure.

You go girl - don't let the b*****ds get you down!!

Ashley is not going to get it...........but sticking a spanner in the works can be fun.....

I didn't say she had no talent - i just think shes average, nothing more or less, certainly not good enough for a west end show, maybe if it was in a very small part. i think she is the worst there, better people have left infact.

I don't think its a good thing when casting a role in a west end show - i'm thinking of the rest of the cast, and the people who may want to see the show, not fair if it isn't someone talented in the role just because the public felt sorry for them.

To me it's a real, and greater, problem in this country that people don't have the decency to exercise the minimum of politeness when they hold others' fates in their hands.

Ashley's reaction and people's supporting of her for doing so should be seen in that light.

"I don't rate your voice" should have been veiled as "I am not sure there is quite the subtlety of tone in your voice". A career can easily survive the latter, a lifetime's aspirations can be derailed in a moment by the former.

Ashley won't win this show, and she doesn't deserve to, but next week I am going to vote for the first time in this series, and it will be for her.

Remember ALW saved Ashley last week against somebody who was touted as a bit of a favourite before the live shows started.

I think what makes his comments to her seem so extreme is that he never criticises anybody else and Ashley is definitely not the weakest there. Whether it is inexperience or lack of training, I think she regularly out-performs Niamh and Sam in particular. There's no consistency with any of the comments.

Ashley will not win this.............but he doesnt have that kind of control at this point....there is only one winner and if she ever falls into the sing off ALW will save her every time.....so MT will get the one he wants.....I have no doubt on that.........its just not going the way he wants it to...just now.
