Exactly. I didn't watch the auditions part of the show only from the first week in the studio. But I do find it quite surprising that I don't particularly like any of the contenders (though I accept that maybe others can). But I would have thought that after the experience of HDYSAPLM and ADWD, and from the thousands who auditioned for IDA, that ALW and co would have been able to spot people with the appropriate talent who are also people that are likely to appeal to the voting public. Based on the fact that ALW so often seems to think the wrong two are in the sing off, you'd think he'd maybe try and figure out what it is the public aren't happy about in his favourites but what they like in his least favourites.
With all those people who must have auditioned I'm disappointed with the final choices he's given us.

ALW is not huffy. He is understandably concerned that Cameron Mackintosh's musical is going to go "down the pan" at this rate.

The fact is ALW, DVO and JB know a lot more than the idiots who make up the voting public.

Then they should take their 'superior knowledge' and use it to cast the show through private auditions, rather than furthering their own careers through a televised process and rinsing the british public for expensive phone votes and extortionate ticket prices.

If he's not prepared to accept the public's choice, why give them the opportunity to influence the casting of a major West End role. If ALW or anyone else doesn't like the outcome, then don't ask the public to spend their money voting; which is, after all, only another way of promoting the show.

Well said, they've got too cocky after the success of the two previous shows. IDA is turning into a dogs dinner, none of the girls are much cop and I think old rubber face is beginning to realise this whole thing could turn into a disaster.

As for Ashley - go for it girl why should that odious little man humilate you in front of millions of viewers - I've got more respect for her now she has come out fighting.

Precisely - screw the public in the name of charity, let them think they have a role to play in selecting a leading role for the WE - then have a tantrum when they refuse to follow The Lord - like a flock of sheep.

Come to think of it - perhaps he thinks he is The Lord.

Am I the only one having problems with quotes tonight.?

Yeah, this show is turning out worse and worse each week. At first I just thought that the competition hadn't hottened up, but ALW's patheticness and the lack of talent this year has been quite shocking compared to the last two series. I wouldn't be surprised if the show ultimately is a car crash!

Some of they may be paying to see it and probably rattling sweet papers, having mobile phones on and talking all the way through it. In other words not regular theatre goers and don't know how to behave.

God knows why they keep having these shows on in the first place. Use the proper auditioning procedure.

Good on Ashley for this week! the public kept her in
I do think she has been horrendously picked on the past couple of weeks perhaps ALW & the panel thought she'd be gone early
She may not be the best singer but can act & I think has alot of character
I could see her as Nancy

I am very happy to be making people laugh. I am pleased to hear that some of us think it is fine to have mobiles switched on, rattle sweet papers and bags and talk through shows when we have paid good money to see a show. This happened to me yesterday otherwise I would not have said it if I had not experienced the situation.

As a Scot I thought Ashley's behaviour was unprofessional and thoughtless, particularly towards Keisha.

Mind you I wasn't impressed either the way she talked about being sacked from her job - most people would have put it better. Right from the start I've thought it was a shame she is the only Scot in the final twelve.

She'll never be Nancy - she's not good enough.
