Lcd Telly Into A Good Old Vcr
I a have a 26 lcd tv in conservatory with built in freeview .I'm trying to get the tv's freeview tuner to connect to my VCR so I can record off the freeview tuner in the telly.Sadly my vcr is not recognising it .Any ideas what i have done wrong .I also have a secong lcd telly hooked up to a vcr and thyis records fine as I have a menu on this telly that gives to the option to make one of the scarts as this sends a signal fronm telly to video enabling me to record , the other telly has nothing in the menu to show this . I have used both scarts in the telly and plugged into the scart marked decoder into the vcr.Am i to assume some tellyw with freeview in them wont let you record from them ? (do models like this exist) or am I scarting /tuning the vcr in wrongly.
The tv that allows to record off is a finlux vestel cheapo , secong set that ddoesn't is a Grundig alba/beko cheapo...I suppose I deserve all i get . ![]()

Non upscaled standard def looks poor at the best of times on an lcd set - but VCR recordings are diabolical.
Bite the bullet - you've got the tv so at least get a dvd recorder so your recordings will be half decent It doesnt take mucn effort to find a good dvdr with built in Freeview - that will make everything so much easier and much better quality |
