He used to give me roses ...

The general demeanour and integrity of contestants appears to degenerate each series. It seems only a matter of time before one of them ends up in that place where one dare not drop the soap.

Who would members predict as the first to land themselves in such a position?

No- that was "I won't bring roses" from the musical Mack and Mabel.

He used to give me roses was the theme tune to Prisoner Cell Block H!

Not being gay myself, I've always been intrigued as to why the show has such iconic status to so many gay people.

Can anyone enlighten me?

I love the show to bits, but have never quite comprehended why such a show would command such loyalty amongst gay people.

Who knows? They say that gay people like strong female characters.

Cell Block and Apprentice are two of my fave shows and they both have something in common - full of bitchy women!

Well they both thrive on conflict also.

You asked for it...
Esqualita rolls up his sleeves and whips out his best Sondheim..

The art of making art...
Is putting it together
Bib by bit, beat by beat, part by part
Sheet by sheet, chart by chart,
Track by track, Bit by bit,
Reel by reel, Pout by pout,
Stack by stack, Snit by snit
Meal by meal, Shout by shout
Deal by deal, Spat by spat
Shpiel by shpiel, Doubt by doubt
And that...
Is the state of the art!

Don't say I didn't warn you.
