LG viewty Problems connecting viewty via USB?
Hi googled and im still stuck! can anyone help.
![]() Ive got a Ku990 viewty . Basically want to transfer some files to my phone. The only problem I am having is getting the PC Suite software to detect my phone via USB. The phone connects fine in data service mode. But as soon as i click to view anything it disconnects it self all the time saying " no phones connected" Wont work at all inmass storage mode. Ive tried and tried and feel like throwing it against the wall. Anyone got one of these phones to help. Any ideas? Thanks! |

I had a similar issue, so hopefully this might help...? - it turned out i had the 'Games & Apps' menu running in the background. Try clicking the multitasking button (top right of screen) and then close anything that's running. All that should be left in the list are 'Home screen' and 'Menu'.
Even after this I had to run it in mass storage mode for it to work tho. |

the memory card won't make a difference - i've conntected my viewty without a card in it (i only just got the card last week for it) and have done for the past 4 months.
I had problems at first with connecting but i just changed usb ports and it worked fine |

My Viewty has the same problem connecting to PC Suite.
I understand you can connect as a mass storage device and this is fine. However i need to use my phone for business and have had my Sony Ericsson in daily sync with my PC which has helped me tremendously. Thus i require the PC Suite facility to be functional. The USB connection just plain will not connect: "Failed to connect Failed to connect the mobile phone to the PC Re-run the Connection Wizard" The Bluetooth has better, if temperamental and flimsy, results; it will connect me perhaps 1 out of 4 or 5 attempts. However any attempt at Sync will break the connection. I have spent the best part of today on this problem and have exhausted the forum boards in all the languages i can speak (English). There surely must be a solution out there guys. Please help. |

I am the very same problem. Even downloaded the latest version of the software from the LG site but it is still shit.
Phone will take files if you use it as a mass storage device but forget using the software - it is just not worth it!! |

My phone had a similar problem. I changed the setting under "phone settings-connectivity-usb" to "mass media" and then just dragged the files across to the relevant file. This has worked, and took a fraction of the time!
