http://www.gwyntcider.com/home.html I've seen a few people on here raving about their Ciders. Hey ho - I'll just have to go back and find out what it was. ![]() Ha! Found it! http://www.westons-cider.co.uk/Cider-ICE/ Last edited by sazzleperkins : 23-10-2009 at 13:22. Reason: Added link |

You know what really annoys me is how some people think it's only chavs who drink it.
I love my cider. Don't like Gaynors that much, like Strongbow. I can drink any cider really. Sometimes a bit of blackcurrent in it is nice as well, or even better a slash of lime. Tasty! |

Strongbow and blackcurrant reminds me of my student days at local alternative nightpots. Ah, the memories.
![]() I like Kopparberg pear and apple cider poured over lots of ice...nice and refreshing on a hot day. Tried some Magners pear cider last week for the first time-much nicer than the regular apple variety. I don't go out much these days but when I do I'll order one of these drinks as pub wines aren't great and vodka measures are too stingy.

The Westons 2009 vintage special reserve Cider is now available at Asda/Tesco/Morrisons etc. and it's very nice indeed. Much better than the 2008 imo. A bit sweeter and with the smokiness and smoothness of the 2007.
3 x 500ml bottles for £4 at Asda. 8.2% vol Cheers.

![]() ![]() Usually buy it half way through the night when i'm fed up of lager. £4 for a bottle ain't too bad for a town center bar. You get two pints out of it. |

They had Thatcher's Katy on special offer at Spar last week - 3 bottles for £4.50.
I bought 6. And drank 5. Well, Mr Saz was working nights. What else could I do?

If you've got a decent sized Co-Op near you their Tillington Hills Cider is well worth checking out.

A friend of mine absolutely loves this stuff (I've not tasted it yet, but apparently Morrisons sells it)

My local moderate sized Asda is now stocking Thatchers Katy and Henney's Dry Ciders for the first time at 3 x 500ml bottles for £5.
![]() Now they just need to stop stocking both Bulmers and Magners which are exactly the same and devote the shelf space to some Cornish Rattler and Gwynt y Ddraig's Black Dragon.. |

Seen the toffee apple one
As for a regular drink, my local cider producer, Cornish Orchards, makes a lovely cider. Looe Valley Cider comes in two strengths which happen to be medium and dry (the dry is stronger as more of the sugar has turned to alcohol). That said Healeys Rattler ain't bad. |

I just discovered my local Dobbie's garden centre sells Sheppy's Cider in it's produce section
and this stuff is by far the best Cider I've ever tasted:Sheppy's Tremlett's Bitter £2.10 for a 500ml bottle. Find your local Dobbie's here: http://www.dobbies.com/storelocator |

I bought the Taurus last week and both are quite nice. The pear is ok, nothing special but the normal cider is suprisingly nice for what it is, being a can of cider. Better than most cans (woodpecker/strongbow) and many bottles i've tried.
