Who Stands out?
pjw1985

We can have endless discussions about favourite and least favourite candidates and about how nasty a candidate is. The question i am wondering about is who out of this bunch has what it takes to become Alan Sugar's Apprentice? Who has it in them to win? I am finding it difficult to find an answer to this. In previous series people stood out and you could see they had something to offer. This year it is hard to find those people. Raef showed quality by the way he led the laundry task. That was very good, very good indeed. Also the way he stood up for Sara this week was excellent. Sara needs to show us what she's made of as i feel she has more in her than we are seeing right now. I felt this about Naomi last year. Raef for me is the only candidate so far who has stood out as a serious contender. But really its generally not an impressive bunch this. They are fantastic at argueing it seems to me.

I agree about Raef. He seems level headed, intelligent and a great all rounder.

I agree.

In all series so far I have liked one contender and supported them from pretty early on. In series one it was Saira, Series 2 the Badger, and the last series (though a little later) Kristina. All three ended up as runners up.

This time it's less obvious but for me it's Lucinda, since last week.

I try to like Raef, I really do. But then I remember him lazing about with his latte and complaining about how he can't stand 'whiners' whilst the other boys had been hard at in the laundry for hours. He won a lot of points this week for standing up for Sara though. But the thing that I don't get about Raef is what he's doing there. WHY does he want to be the apprentice? Why does he need to be? I don't understand his ambitions with regards to the competition.

I do get the feeling that Claire might be in with a serious shout - Yes, she's abrasive, bossy and a bit difficult. But I do think she does have qualities as a worker that Sir Alan would probably value. Ditto for Helene.

That bit was editted in for a bit of comic relief, therefore I don't take it seriosuly.

I used to thing Raef has what it takes now I think Alex is the most likely to win, with Raef being runner up.

It is hard to disassociate a person's abilities from their personality, particularly when a PM can limit their members contributions.

Before today I would have said Lee seems effective and driven - we just need to see him in a managerial role. But now he has shown his nasty side ... it was very distasteful. I don't think Lucinda is a ruthless winner but it depends of the role Sir Alan has in mind for his Apprentice. Raef really is growing on me but Claire does seem to have favour with Sir Alan.

As long as the Jennys, Michael and Alex are the next to be dispatched I will be happy.

Lucinda, Sara and Raef, obviously.

I'm quite fond of Lucinda but I simply can't see Sir Alan wanting to hire her - he hasn't seemed very impressed with her thus far, and I think she's a bit too mild-mannered for him. I'd like to be proven wrong though.

I agree with this.

She is my favourite... but I think Raef would be better suited to working for Alan.
